  1. The sad truth is that venkys ownership is a story of missed opportunities, bad decisions, wasted time and money and stagnation. The day they took over, hope, desire, optimism, that all died. If they do ever get rid of him, they'll hire some other waster and the whole story cycle will just keep on and on. Ten years of this so far, will it ever end? What on earth they get out of ruining a perfectly good football club to the extent that it takes millions just to keep it afloat at the level they've sunk it to, christ alone knows.
  2. Who's tison when he's at home? Armstrong counts two but he's only Diddy?
  3. As yer man cryuff once said, I've never seen a bag of money score a goal
  4. Amazing that Kenny had got dragged into this. Funnily enough, I remember being at Watford Away during that run. Think Roy scored for us then we conceded two. The difference is that the manager and coaches knew what they were doing and cared, the club was united, the players were motivated and organised. We just panicked. The situation now, and I admit I didn't see the game, has more in common with Fred karnos circus
  5. Only thirty points behind Norwich, promotion push starts here lads
  6. It's what happens when you spend too much time on the grass
  7. The worry is that moggadon will go and leave venus extension and waggageddon behind. He's spent an absolute barrel load of cash and he's taken us nowhere. But he won't get sacked
  8. Perhaps a case will be made for selling all the training grounds, as we're obviously not using them
  9. Expectation management, aka priming. Who knows, maybe he's got a bet on. I've given up caring.
  10. Mowbray/Venus/Waggott - get it right up ye. Best news I've had in ages (but not out of the woods yet). If this was intended as loss mitigation and venkys are in the departure lounge, might we dare hope that rehousing planning permission would hasten them to the gate?
  11. One thing I will give Mowbray (in my opinion)... He's a bloody good actor
  12. Reckon if we started a petition it would get enough signatures?
  13. I think this is as low as I've ever been about rovers. It's worse than Steve kean in my opinion because as terrible as he was, at least we could've come back from it. What we have now in my opinion, is someone who I thought was ethical, but turns out to be as bad as kean, just better at hiding it. Ten years of disaster, negligence, profiteering, incompetence, malfeasance, tormenting, frustration and regression. This is different, this is putting the club backwards, with no potential to put it right again at some future stage. Starting to wonder whether at some point I should just walk away, because being a helpless bystander in this tragic farce, watching the bad guys won over and over, isn't doing much for my mental health
  14. Financially beneficial to the club, in the short term yes. But you're burning the house to keep warm. Once it's ashes, that's it. I tell you what would be beneficial for this club, is Madame Venky and her half wit brothers to sell up, get the heck out of the club, and take Tony "endless flannel" Mowbray, venus, waggott with them and never ever come back
  15. Were not moving forward though, are we? What does that even mean, anyway? We're moving downwards, and our infrastructure is being downgraded to ensure we stay rooted where we are. Not only that, but the club has been turned into a loss-making concession, so there's no real prospect of the club recovering the damage that would be done. Don't buy into all this legacy stuff, my god. After everything jack walker did for this club, it gets written off so blithely. Ten years of this club being vandalised, and some people are still on board the venky train
  16. Forgive? Forget? Not on your nelly , mate. Will we ever be free of these people, and if we are, will we still have a club left? Selling the training ground of for housing would massively hurt. I can only hope they're doing it as one of their final acts before clearing off. But ultimately, I think there's a lot more heartache to come, and venus, Mowbray and swag will be orchestrating if Still can't believe some people are willing to forgive.. It's a mug attitude alright. I'd be willing to forgive, just as soon as I've stuck my size eleven up their collective arse
  17. Handy place to keep your shopping trolley token
  18. Chacun a son gout, vive et laissez vive. I do get creeped out by people who get their eyes tattooed or most of their face tattooed. Can't help but wonder if they just need the attention. I have never seen the need myself, nor would I even know what to get. I've got four scars on my body anyway, so that's my talking point
  19. On the psychiatric clinic: “Madness is terrifying. In the clinic I felt like Jack Nicholson in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”... In the clinic there’s a guy who thinks he’s Robinson Crusoe and no one believes I’m Maradona.”
  20. No need to get carried away
  21. Ten years... And not a day has gone by where I've stopped hating them. They've ruined this club. They've allowed it to be hollowed out by charlatans and chancers. They've brought dishonour upon this club, and I will simply never forgive them. Quite why they're still owners, I dread to think.
  22. If he played the game like he talks it, we'd be over the horizon right now. He's a gabbler, a pure patter merchant, a jibber jabber, a bletherer, a waffler. That's what we like to hire. Gives you a nice glow when he says how we're going to batter teams, but not just yet. Jesus is coming, not quite sure when. Got held up on the A1. Ten years of hot air. Ten years of "we're only x points off of place y, give em a chance"
  23. Dambusters was on recently ? ? ✈
