  1. Bullsh*t with a possible hint of truth? Right you are. There's no way you'd get a direct quote on it from Jensen at this stage, so of course quotes are going to be attributed to "sources". Doesn't mean the story's nonsense. There's no way of knowing either way at this stage, but at some point the truth will come out.
  2. Neil McDonald?
  3. The contrast between now, and when we had John Williams virtually running the show, could not be starker. There's no real strategy or foresight, no evident plan. It's amateur night. Decisions being made seemingly on a whim. I rue the day Steve Kean ever turned up at my club. I really wanna strangle the fella, you know what I mean?
  4. Excuse me while I just leap for joy. Our coaching staff looks so meagre.
  5. What a strange move. But then, it was a strange appointment in the first place. Who identified him as the best available number 2, given that Kean had never worked with him before? I get the feeling we don't have a replacement lined up. I wonder how much Cletus and Jethro and the Dragon Lady had to pay out to get rid of him.
  6. Can't see avatar too well but I'm guessing it's something to do with Tony Field at Cosmos.

  7. What's this about a dislocated shouldeR?
  8. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
  9. Oooh fat Benni, bam-a-lam Ooooh fat Benni, bam-a-lam Fat Benni was a blob Now he got no job, bam-a-lam.
  10. Never been so bored as when watching the Seven Samurai.
  11. I was trying to be charitable! I liked Lock Stock, then he did Snatch, which was basically just a remake of the first one, but wasn't awful. Then er ...
  12. Just seen Sherlock Holmes - absolutely awful. Guy Ritchie has made about 2 or 3 decent films, the rest is just dreck. Please make him stop.
  13. Quite possibly the most boringest movie ever ever made. Perhaps I'm not in its niche market audience of people on their death bed about to expire. A Team - nowhere near as much fun as the original, or maybe that's just me being sentimental? It was OK, but as has been said, entirely forgettable. And whoever plays BA ain't **** compared to Mr T.
  14. Yes, but were the fuse timings on the grenades realistic?
  15. :-( Seriously unfunny news.
  16. Let off some party-poppers and wear some party hats and we'll all have a big clap.
  17. Would he have appreciated a statue? He seemed (although I never met him) a very modest low-key kind of guy despite his laudable achievements. That's not to say there shouldn't be a memorial, just make it something that's fitting.
  18. Well, I wasn't expecting that. Gob-smacked, and very much saddened.
  19. Depends whether you see England as a single collective entity (in which case it's "is") or a collection of individuals (in which case it's "and"). Either word is acceptable.
  20. You've not seen shawshank? Get out here. Watched In Like Flint at the weekend. It wasn't Citizen Kane by any means, but enjoyable 60's kitsch nonetheless.
  21. I had an out-of-body experience last time I had a curry.
  22. I didn't hate it, but it could've been much better than it was. Good premise.
  23. Just watched The Hangover. It certainly had its moments, and did make me laugh out loud a few times. Not really amazing though.
  24. Just updated framerater and have now drawn level on the IMDB top 250 with Glenn (77 films). I pity anyone who's determined to see all 250 and has yet to watch Seven Samurai. It's so dull and boring!
  25. Just finished watching Battle of Algiers. Wow, now that was a quality film. Shot documentary-style, it details the battle between the French colonialists and the independence-seeking FLN. The rooting out of terrorists, the civil disobediance, torture sessions, bombs plated in roadside cafes, soldiers being ambushed, the cycle of terrorism and counter-terrorism, modern-day analogues, guns hidden under burqas, it's got the lot. Shot in the sixties in grainy black and white, it's 2 hours of cool. Comes in at #228 in the IMDB top 250. Trailer:
