Tora! Tora! Tora! bores me to death. I'm all for havign some sort of meaningful detail in a film, but TTT seems to be more like a documentary, it moves so bleeding slow. Not that I want to see Pearl Harbor.

I'm getting the impression that teh Portugeese police aren't handling this too well. Maybe I'm being harsh. They've been making some strange comments. I do hope this little girl's still alive -
Taxi Driver is a cracking film, what are you talking about man?!!!!!!!!!!!? Goodfellas is a decent film, better than Casino, but I've had enough of watching mob films. Watched Ed Wood recently - wryly amusing, rather than laugh-out-loud (although it had 1 or two moments). Martin whats-his-face is brilliant in it as Lugosi.

Haven't seen that, but I remember watching that one about the actuary going across America, and that was absolutely dire.

Think you're right with Grenada, Flopamundo. Bring back Mick Harford.

Play krap against Andorra and get three points? Nope, that would thoroughly depress me. It's not just McLaren (although, God knows, he's not helping any. Just what pedigree does he have? Unbelievable.) It's the bl00dy players as well. They just cannot be bothered.

Maybe he's been sitting on his hands?

I miss listening to Jimmy Armfield, Ron Davies, Alan Green, all of the guys who used to be on Radio 2 (and then Radio 5), I miss all that stuck in Germany. I could even listen to teh golf on radio 2 and As for pundits I don't like, Ian Wright is a bit of a prune, but I can stand him. But most of teh pundits are useless, and Mark Lawrenson especially talks a load of old waffle and doesn't liek us. -
I think Wild at Heart is a wicked movie, he's fine in that. As well as The Rock. (I haven't seen Raising Arizona and didn't really like Snake Eyes). He just plays the same character in each film, as far as I can see. I don't think he has any Shakesperian pretensions, but who gives a toss, the films are fun.

Another thing I've read (this may be untrue as it was in an airline advertisement boasting of their green credentials), but the aero industry is responsible for 3% of carbon emissions. why is everyone so fixated with air travel screwing up the planet when 97% of other stuff to worry about. However, I may be wrong ... -

I thought the scientific community was quite consensual, ie if someone disproved another's theory then they embraced that, because it led to a furtherment of knowledge. I haven't seen the program and can't watch it online, if someone has a link to a text article about it, it would be appreciated. The worst thing you can do is adopt a position and become so attached to it, you can't give it up. I had heard that there were some ideas for maintaining the ambient temperature, though. Something about exploding sulphur into the atmosphere, and another one about 9installing a giant sunscreen in space. -
In your excitable haste to slag him off, I think you're forgettign that at the time fat Kev was out record signing.
-
Oh, the irony! I think they're in even more of a mess than we were when we went down in '99. I don't have a problem with West Ham, or Lucas Neill (we did very well out of him), so don't really see the reason for gloating. It is funny though - hahahhahaaaaaaaaaaa! Ooops.

Why buy any strikers at all then, if you think Roberts is a decent player? It doesn't make any sense. This is the Jason Roberts that gave Arsenal such a tough time in a Carling Cup semi, yes? And how people can slate Jeffers when he hasn't even been able to play is beyond me. -
No, I think Jan's right. I don't care if he's versatile, there's absolutely no need for him, we have enough decent defenders at the club already. In any case, we couldn't get him to sign a deal when he was here, how would we get him to sign one when he's at a different club? It doesn't make sense. He wanted a new challenge ... I reckon he's got one now alright! It's nothing against Lucas Neill, it's just a logical thing not to go after him if West Ham go down. Leave him in the past.

He just fancied a lot of grief with his football, so he joined their club! Recent results must be hard to digestive though.

Was just winding you up, thought you liked arty-farty films. Number 3's definitely my favourite. I sometimes watch the opening credits to get me fired up before I train. Fireworks whistling off ... I love that bit. "I want Balboa! I want Balboa! Do you hear me old man?"

Seems unlike you to like such mainstream popcorn films, Rovermatt. I could understand it maybe if Rocky read out some poetry after his wins, and the films encapsulated socialist philosophy. :-) Don't watch Rocky 5. It's sh ... ocking.
