1. Why doesn't he do us all a favour and top himself, preferably in a room full of his converts? Not sure what the Powell-allegory was for either, don't think it was anything to do with SS Windrush or controlled immigration. It's to do with religious nutters. They could be people visiting the country, second-generation immigrants, or people whose ancestors lived here and have converted to Islam.
2. AESF, it's the way of the World mate ....
3. Maybe Hughes thinks that Coley is teh man to get the best out of Matt again? (Ooops, we've done that to deat as well, haven't we?)
4. Was hardly going out on a limb though, was I?!
5. Heed what I say!
6. Goodness me, get a grip all of you! First day of teh first test, then we'll know which way it will go. Believe me, if the Aussies have a good first day then that will be it. My own personal opinion is that Australia now have no psychological advantage, their aura is floating somewhere in the River Avon. I think that will count for a hell of a lot if we play without fear on that first day. But after 20 years(!) of pain, I am not counting my chickens, I wouldn't be surprised if tehy retained the Ashes, one-day bunfights don't really count for much.
7. What I want to know is ... If suddenly crowds started deserting the male game, and started watching women's football ... would the tarnishing that we've seen occur in the men's game also occur in the women's? Would Blackburn Rovers' star forward be caught with her hand down some bloke's trousers in a nightclub? Would women start rucking on the pitch? Would a group of girls on holiday entice a bloke back for sex in their apartment and secretly film him? I think every Prem club should have a girly team and then we all went to watch them instead of teh blokes I think we'd all be much better off. Lee Bowyer on the dole because of a bunch of girls ... quality!
8. AESF, you are rapidly becoming "Mr Tabloid" painting bleak pictures of the country in melodramatic tones. You take a newspaper report and wander off on another cliche-ridden diatribe, which is very reminiscent of all your other diatribes. Let me think here ... - Immigration - Chavs - Footballers - Immigrant Chav Footballers. Seems to sum it up really!
9. And you know why? It's all these bleeding immigrants, innit?!
10. Cronulla, that's the name! I'm sure I'd bound up them no worries :-)
11. Seems like England should be the ones running up sand dunes for hours one end for teh last couple of months, and the Aussies taking it easy; rather than the other way around.
12. Got to disagree. Rio should be held up as a beacon of a footballer. Overpaid. Stupid Unable to defend against Duncan Ferguson Multiple driving offenses What's that word you use when you want to describe some one who can't talk proper? Know what I mean? Looks like a duck, quack. Want's more money than £100,000 a week (£5.2m a year) 320620 - Goes on someone's stag do, lets off fire extinguishers after knocking on hotel guests' doors, then totally denies it. - Makes a p*rn film with unwitting female participants. - Gets smacked by Swedish gangsters after telling them to eff off (particularly enjoyed that one actually). - "Forgets" to attend a drugs test, when all evidence points to him actually knowing he had one, but strangely absenting himself.
13. Perhaps there's a little bit of jealousy in thinking that a woman may be a better player than you? Why the hell shouldn't women play football? Should we stop them voting as well. Do women footballers scare horses? And what exactly is "monkey tennis" is it monkeys playing tennis, or playing tennis and using a monkey as the ball? I've not seen either before.
14. Just to add to what thenodrog said, there should definitely be a maximum wage. And Rio Ferdinand should be made to give up football.
15. Just been peeing my pants over that one. There's so many thickos in this country it ain't true!
16. It doesn't always work like that, Alan. Not a season ticket holder myself, so wouldn't wish to be too presumptuous, but I'd be very surprised if all our major signings are in by 25th June. If they are, then it will be disappointing in a way. Because you'd think that big transfers would take longer. Perhaps they'd need a headline-grabbing signing by then (Bellamy?) but other than that ... well, my guess is season ticket sales will be down anyway ...
17. Why do you have to hand it to him? Two wrong decisions, how big they were doesn't matter. Stead is the best striker at the club, alright that doesn't say much but we shouldn't be selling someone of his age. We were being offered around £1 million for Dickov in January from Birmingham weren't we? He should go first because of his age. 319027 Gotta say ... I find myself disagreeing with you quite a lot ... Parkes had to go, and who's to say we might get someone in in place of Stead (in Stead's stead?) on less money and for a profit, who bangs more goals in. But don't let that stop you bitching and moaning, we only have 10 weeks in which to get players in - madness!
18. Souness started off with an incredible run in the transfer market, everyone was a winner (and that's no lie!) Just goes to show how things can change ...
19. Yep, we're on skid row, with Sheff Wed, Notts Forest, MK Dons and the rest. And Vinjay, what does "Walkers Out" mean? You want to get rid of teh trust fund? What good would that do?
20. I think we are talking at cross-purposes here ... - You do realise I am talking about Berg leaving for Man Utd, don't you? - I am not saying you were complaining about Le Saux, why did you think that? I am complaining about the way he left (although I recognise what he did while he was with us), but I get the feeling you'd rather people forgot about his narky exit and just remembered him being good. I feel that we should remember him, warts and all. I really can't put it any more starkly than that.
21. Dave, there's more than one way to leave an employer - cf Berg. To criticise the way Le Saux left isn't to criticise his contribution, is it?
22. If he didn't leave with good grace then it should be pointed out. There's too much of this "I've won something for this club so I am absolved of all sins" attitude amongst footballers these days. Now someone like Henning Berg I have a lot of time for. That's not to say I don't appreciate what happened in '95 ...
23. "Another link to '95 disappears" Is he dead, then? No wonder he's retired! A good player, but didn't show us any respect in his last days with the club.
