Well this is the issue isn't it. 43 years, if you walk away you feel like it's all been for nothing. It all comes down to whether you can accept occupation by the Venky cong. Accepting of course being a different concept to liking. Not being able to accept it, and not being able to change it, of course your mental health is going to take a massive hit. It's something I've struggled with myself. I can only hope this is the beginning of the end. Absolutely no judgement of course on anyone who does walk away. Put your mental health first -

Just when you think things can't possibly get worse, they do. When contemplating the last thirteen years of cack-handed buffoonery, Machiavellian malevolence, and sheer willful (gleeful?) neglect, I am often reminded of James stockdale the us air force pilot shot down during the Vietnam war. As he ejected from his plane, he thought to himself "I am leaving the world of technology, and entering the world of epictetus". The Vietnamese leathered the crap out of the guy for most of his seven or so years of incarceration. But never once did he submit. They broke his leg twice. His reliance on stoicism and faith that one day the ordeal would be over, whilst accepting the reality of his current situation, gave rise to the term stockdale paradox. I mention all this because we parachuted over hanoi the day these pustulous turd-licking banjo-strumming freak shows were allowed to buy our beloved club. We left the world of competence and astute guardianship of the club by custodians who genuinely cared. And we entered a world of unremitting pain as people I wouldn't leave in charge of a tuck shop set about recklessly running this club into the ground. Venkys may be breaking my legs, but they'll never break my spirit. In the dichotomy of control, I do not give my energy to contemplating what a galactic mess these fucking idiots have created. It is a test sent by the gods to test my spirit, to see if I can be broken. But I won't, and one day the Venky Cong will be banished. BACK US. Never bow (I'd rather fucking die), stay off the air, admit no crimes, never kiss them goodbye, unity over self. And if fat barry wants a square go, he only has to ask. He can bring his big scary metal bar and his girlfriends if he likes. No bother- 9495 replies

Oh no, in sure we've got enough bollocks already..I don't think we've been shirt of bollocks in any way over the last thirteen years -
I feel the future of the club is in the hands of an Indian judge. It's been said many, many tonnes on here, venkys have forgotten we exist etc. I don't that hard to believe given the court hearings and all the rest of it. All we have is guesswork and hope. Have they sold Wharton in the expectation that the investigation will be over in the summer? Why do I get the feeling that the club is very close to going under? Why are they even keeping us? It's it something to do with cooking the books? Surely they don't think they can make a success of the club? So what's the motivation? Petty mindedness because of a snowball? What if the next hearing gets postponed? What if the investigation goes on for another five years? We don't have enough players to sell? If the investigation ends will they still be under a cloud and unable to find signings because it might trigger another investigation? Does it even matter what the judge decides at the next hearing, had too much damage already been done? We're just being left on tenterhooks all the time. I'm exhausted with it

I can't bring myself to click on it. I'm genuinely heartbroken. I was never going to forgive venkys anyway, but this is a new low. They're just bastards they really are -

Thirteen years of shit, the club is a smoking hulk, We've let our best talent walk when they didn't want to go and were using the money to pay off the bills run up by brain-dead half wits. But we've signed a player on loan so we must be happy. Happy. Happy. Happy. -

I think the QPR game will tell us everything. After the last few days, I think we're in crisis. I was thinking it would be next year that we drop, but Christ on a bike, we could really just collapse here. If we can beat QPR then I think we should be ok for this year. Lose and we really in it -

Thought I'd be mental health positive last night and swerve the forum for a bit. But fuck me, next thing I know, I get a news notification this morning that we pulled out of the McGuire deal mid flight. Venky's and their acolytes have dragged this club through the dung. Long gone are the days when we could be proud to support this club. Adam going brought me low, but pissing players about like that, that is an absolute fucking disgrace. I just can't believe it. It just gets worse and worse. What a clown show. -

We held out for a week. When crystal palace came calling. At the end of January. Yes, we can't hold out indefinitely, but a week? When palace were the only interested party? It's a sign of massive financially distress -

So we've let him go on the cheap just so we can keep the lights on. They've bought themselves tone, but have they just kicked the can down the road? What happens in twelve months and the taps are still turned off? Sammie gets sold? Who do we have to sell for big bucks after that? JRC? I don't think we'll go down this year, but I do feel it will be close. Next year however, were fucked right from the off. I think even if the judge decides ok, well take the brakes off. By the time that happens, well have been weakened so much, that we just can't build back. Jon would be mad to stay beyond this summer. I mean, where does all this end? You have to think there's at least one relegation in the pipeline, and that admin is a CV distinct possibility. Why they've not put the club up for sale is a mystery. Do they really think they can get out of this one, ie get back to pumping in twenty mill a year and going for the best? -

You know what, I'd completely forgotten he'd only recently (as in, last fucking month) signed a four and a half year extension. End of January and he's gone! Palace have not even had to try that hard have they? They come back with a few additional ones and we collapse like a Benghazi khazi in a force nine gale. We must be right up the creek here lads. I'm absolutely devastated he's gone. And we've not even fought to keep him. It's just so crap. -
The Purgatory or Hope Poll
broadsword replied to OldEwoodBlue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Well certainly I've lost hope and am finding it increasingly difficult to care. I could handle the gloom of I thought that one day it would lift. My greatest worry is continually nagging at the back of my head. What if they're here for good, what if they can't be gotten rid of? -

I'm so down with it all. This is more than just "Rovers are a selling club". He's nineteen years old and a rovers fan, but the whole brief of the club is to develop players for other teams and use the transfer proceeds to offset the humongous debts these shitehawk owners have accumulated for us. In the meantime the club just gets weaker and weaker. Before when we had to sell players, we still had some sort of ambition. We may have sold players like Barker and Hendry but we still tried for the play offs. That's all completely out of the window now. The owners have absolutely gutted this club and everything it stands for. -

Wrexham belief growing here. We've huffed and puffed but we're a terribly soft side. Which isn't a great surprise, really. No belief, no guts, no conviction. We're dead men walking
