  1. Given that the Savage saga has gone on three weeks and that we are less than two weeks away from the end of the window it should get quite interesting. Rovers don't need to sell, Rangers would like him (but how much do they want him), and Ferguson (presumably) is desperate to go to Rangers. Sounds a bit like the Savage scenario, but a shorter timespan. I'll be very disappointed if we don't wring every single penny out of this one.
  2. We don't know for sure that he wants to go to Rangers, only that he doesn't want to play for us anymore. We should ask for his wages back that we paid him when he was injured. Ungrateful spineless little man.
  3. Come on Robbie and just bleeding sign so we can lock this thread!
  4. -12 it might be, but 6 clean sheets in 9 games tells a more accurate story about our defensive form. Anyway, who cares. Either some people on here are getting under your skin or you're fed up that we've had him off of you. Either way, take a chill pill mate.
  5. This picture? looks like he's doing an impression of pob The unacceptable face of football!
  6. Excellent! <<< Don't know how much truth there is in this, but it's just getting too much now. I don't think he even does it to improve his own team, I think he's just trying to get up our noses!
  7. That was in the past. Savage signed a four-year contract with Brum in the Summer, I bet he made noises about being happy then, too. Given the amount of heat this Rangers thing has generated, he should be making another public comment. Unless of course it serves his interests to stir up transfer rumours by keeping quiet. Hmmmmm ...
  8. At least Savage had the guts to hand in a transfer request. Ferguson doesn't have the balls to come out and rubbish it ro confirm it - which reflects very badly on him.
  9. Think Bruce said he wanted a replacement within 48 hours of Savage going. So I'd like to think it'll be sorted out today. What a soap opera - unusual for Mr Savage!
  10. Surely whether or not Ferguson was capable of settling in Blackburn is something that should have been researched before he was bought. Souey comes up trumps again?!
  11. Still nothing from Ferguson himself. Silence may be golden, but it also speaks words. Something funny is definitely going on. I'd prefer to let him rot in the reserves than take such a poor offer.
  12. Well, that's a bit sad innit? Cos he's signing ... !
  13. Er if Savage doesn't have the same technical ability, how come he takes a better free-kick than Fergie? There seems to be a big mythology about Fergie. He's not a bad player, but not a 7.5m one, and he hasn't pulled up any trees, has he? I don't ever recall saying: "Wow, great piece of individual skill tehre from fergie".
  14. Not even Mickey Gray?
  15. Three point two! JHFC, do these boys want a pound of flesh on top?! Souness, Souness, make a bid! Souness, make a bid!
  16. If the guy himself had teh nerve to actually go public with a denial or a confirmation, we'd actually have a much better idea. If the porn-peddlers in Birmingham thought our offer for Savage was derisory, what would they make of the deep-fried Mars Bar merchants offer?
  17. It's a bleeding soap-opera. As if the Savage hoo-ha wasn't enough (that's gone mighty quiet though). Either way there should be something from Ferguson himself to say what the position is. This silence is making him look very guilty (and spineless).
  18. Which probably means he'll ignore Savage and go for Ferguson.
  19. Yep, I'd have to pretty much agree with all of what LeChuck said ... thanks Graeme for screwing up the proceeds from the Duff sale ...
  20. I think it was a strange move in the first place for Ferguson to come to Rovers. OK, so the Scots Premier is a two-horse race most years, but it did mean he picked up a lot of silverwear. What did he expect to happen when he signed for little old Blackburn? Of course there was talk of qualifying for Europe and the like, but that was probably unrealistic given how Souness had knackered the team. And in any case, how satisfying would it be to qualify for the UEFA maybe, if back in Scotland they were in the Champs League every year? He was caught between a rock and a hard place because I doubt he'd get into the Arsenal, Man Utd or Chelsea teams.
  21. Wassa noob? Sounds like an indian elder or something.
  22. it all goes in the players pockets in the end, the club won't see any of it ...
  23. I can't answer your questions about "certain things" because I've not seen anything to say that Savage knew details of any salary package in advance. Maybe it got lost amidst the welter of comments from Mr Sullivan getting all bitchy and tarty. Whatever's gone on, I still think that Sullivan has made your club something of a laughing stock. Is this media-campaign meant to persuade Savage to stay?! It might be a "big" club but its owners are mickey mouse.
  24. Hardly looks like conclusive proof to me. I don't think anything underhand has happened, in any case, certainly nothing untoward that you wouldn't expect in any other transfer. The only thing I see is David Sullivan bleating to the press in an undignified manner. When Liverpool continually tapped up Duff did we complain? No. There's nothing to say that we have tapped Savage up anyway.
