  1. I don’t think it’s delusional nonsense to attribute some significant blame onto Eustace for this! You do realise it is possible to not like Venky’s, Waggott and the general running of the club, but also think that Eustace has stitched up the famous club of Blackburn Rovers, the players who have done well this season and the fans who’ve really backed him.
  2. The fact that there was hardly a queue for him when he came to us, and we gave him a chance. The fact his stock has risen with us. The fact he’s peddled out the family issue when there’s reports he’s been sounding out other jobs no closer to Birmingham, and Derby is hardly next door to Brum. The fact he has given the impression to the fans that it’s one happy camp. ‘We are all in this together’ etc The fact he’s dumping us when we are in 6th position, and still have a reasonable shout of play offs. The fact he has clearly had serious conversations with Derby when his focus should have been on the cup match. The bit about him asking for extended contract to try and save face with the fans is garbage. Even if there’s truth that he asked for it, he was going to Derby the moment they suddenly sacked Warne. The fact that regardless of reports, he must have had an input in at least some of the signings. Dion Sanderson has literally followed him around! Apart from that his departure washes really well! I am staggered that some of your hatred for Venky’s is blinding any culpability on behalf of Eustace in this. I also repeat that I am no fan of Venky’s!
  3. Why is anyone with the alternative view a bellend? I’m no fan of Venky’s nor Waggott etc. However I’m with Simon Jordan on this! My finger is pointing at Eustace more so than the ownership on this one - and it will remain that way unless Eustace is actually going to say something. If Eustace was so unhappy with the running of the club then he should have told us. JDT did so at least and his departure came as no surprise. Eustace has orchestrated a move away on the eve of an fa cup 4th round match, whilst bleating on about togetherness with the fans. It’s not washing with me. If that makes me a bellend then so be it.
  4. Yes the club absolutely should be doing these things. The club previously abandoned the traditional Rovers strongholds such as the Hyndburn towns. Indeed we seemingly backed down to Stanley chairman Andy Holt a few years ago, who complained on Twitter about Rovers community trust going into Hyndburn schools. Hence Stanley have dished out free shirts every year. Places like Rishton, Ossy, Harwood etc are as close to Blackburn as they are Accy, nevermind some made up Hyndburn boundary, and Rovers should go back to being active in these schools. On the positive, I do get the impression that the penny has dropped in recent months within the Rovers hierarchy. Hopefully they now recognise there has been a demographic shift of our support, largely away from Blackburn to the surrounding areas in a 10 mile radius. And also a recognition that we get support from across east Lancs and parts of central/ north Lancs. The club do now seem to be broadening their horizons outside of solely BB1.
  5. Are you on about the correct Dembele? Siriki Dembele isn’t too old. He’s 27!
  6. If these ST prices are not significantly reduced, the club are going to have disastrous sales. BB is the poorest town in the league with the 4th most expensive ST’s. Our average attendance places us at 23rd in the league. If Bolton get promoted, and Burnley and Forest go down, we will have the lowest average attendance in the league next season. With the new sky tv deal which is rumoured to bring in an extra 3 mil per championship club, and the 30 year anniversary of 94/95, surely there must be someone on the fans forum pushing Waggott to do a great deal for next season?
  7. Seen a Facebook debate about this. Someone, claiming to be a qualified ref, is saying that it wouldn’t have been a foul if he had used his hands. The reason being is he made a genuine attempt to clear the ball, it then became a new phase of play and so he could legally have then used his hands. Said person is claiming this is why the ref came and spoke with him after. Ie telling him he could have used his hands because he made a genuine attempt to clear. It was a bit unusual for the ref to speak with him at that point. Appreciate you reffed at the highest level. Is there anything in what our FB ref is claiming or is he talking nonsense?
  8. Correct I will give you that! 3 times in the bundesliga
  9. He has played over 60 times in the premier league. Have any of our current squad played in the premier league? Or for that matter in any of the top 5 elite leagues in Europe? Off the top of my head I can’t think of any.
  10. On what basis? Our form in the last 12 months is relegation form.
  11. I like JDT as a person. In the right club he will be a very successful manager. Even though we missed out on the play offs last season, it was an exciting season, particularly with the cup runs. I feel for him having to work under clowns. However we are going down with him in charge. He has lost the heart for it. The revelation he offered to leave in summer speaks volumes. Ive heard from a very credible source that he has lost the players and morale is at an all time low. Yesterday the QPR manager never stopped remonstrating on the touchline. Conversely JDT was hiding away in the corner, sinking into his chair. What kind of message does that send to the players? Tactically he has lost the plot. Anybody with half a football brain can see we need to tighten up at the back, go back to basics with aiming for a clean sheet and rebuild. Instead he persists with this inverted attacking full back philosophy; how many times did QPR exploit this? What were the substitutions about? How has Moran played a full game? How has Hyam played a full game? How has Sigurdson not been criticised by him for hiding away on the left? Hyam is becoming a massive disappointment and should have been hauled off. Mcfadezean did more on the sideline with his encouragement than Hyam did on the pitch. With 10 to go, and desperate for a goal, why not send on John Fleck? The lad has played at a higher level than anyone else in our squad. Instead he brings on subs who actually weakened the team. The epitome of his ego getting in the way…. I can’t possibly bring on Fleck because he isn’t up to speed with my system. Sadly JDT’s ego, with his stubbornness of playing ‘that way’, is sending us down and to oblivion.
  12. Apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere on here. I’ve just been sent this from a fellow fan. I don’t know where he got it from. I don’t know if it is legit or not! But if it is, the club really is in trouble.
  13. A few of us got together yesterday for this. Walked out at half time straight back to the Vine pub! Won’t be rushing back to an away game with this current setup. Rovers must be the softest side in the entire football league. Apart from possibly Tronstad, none of the players put their bodies on the line. The only other one who did has been loaned out to Ipswich. What has happened to Dom Hyam? I thought he was a colossal hard defender. He’s anything but at the minute. He looks like an unfit uninterested Sunday league centre half who’s been out on the razzle all night. The lack of desire is epitomised by Callum Brittain. When he scored at Millwall I thought we had a real player. I’m speculating that he has a bit of an attitude problem. He was pathetic for their 2nd goal. He should have been hauled off for his half hearted attempt at closing & blocking the shot. Were Leonard, Moran & Sigurdson even on the pitch yesterday? When you pay £28 for a ticket, the least the players can do is give their all for the shirt & fans. They didn’t yesterday and that’s the most annoying bit.
  14. I wonder if there is a contingency plan to open another part of the ground such as 1 half of darwen end lower or blackburn end upper? I guess the problem will be staffing and catering. Sales have pleasingly picked up over the last couple of days. We don’t want a situation where there’s a real late surge and fans are turned away on the day.
  15. I know there is over a week to go…… but the online seat map shows ticket sales have been somewhat underwhelming so far. I honestly thought they would fly out.
