  1. Doesn't look like Chapman figures much in Pulis's thoughts.
  2. We need to be making it clear now that nobody leaves the club in January whatever the offer. If we don't the constant stream of speculation could damage our chances of a very successful season.
  3. Do you really think that West Brom will loan us players that will strengthen our position in January ? We'd be lucky to get Harper back.
  4. Not a bad time to play them. Their form is a bit up and down but I think they've only won one out of the last six games. I'd take a draw now. Any away point is a good point.
  5. I'd agree with that, certainly in financial terms. People say he's not fast and that's true in real terms but he has a good change of pace were he goes from jogging to sprinting with the ball very quickly. He's also very good at running directly at opponents making them have to stand still, then he puts on that little change of pace that takes him away from players.
  6. Whittingham was his biggest mistake. I can't remember one thing he did while he was here and we had to pay him off early. A season too far for the bloke.
  7. Regatta ? I wouldn't creosote my fence in that. I'm a " Paul & Shark " guy.
  8. Yeah the sin bin is a good idea. Too many games are being spoils by very harsh red cards.
  9. No, you were right first time.
  10. A pal of mine used to play in the old Northern Premier League. He had his cheek bone smashed by a bloke who was well known in the League as a real thug. He was one of the first players , if not the first, to take an opponent to court for deliberately injuring another player. He was a part time pro and worked as a joiner. He won his case for compensation for the time he was unable to work.
  11. I thought he did well to get away with that foul on Van Persie. Having said that if any player deserved a crack it was Van Persie.
  12. Not many players are improved by having a serious injury, I know I wasn't.
  13. I noticed in the highlight video that was on here he didn't head the ball once. That's a bit unusual for such a tall guy. How do Forest fans rate his heading ability ?
  14. Exactly. Why was Bauer our only alternative ?
  15. I wonder if he can play centre half again.
  16. Just shows the foolishness of not signing another centre half in Summer.
  17. I liked to get stuck in and the rougher it got the more I liked it. Strange really because off the pitch I'm not an aggressive person. Having said that I put a few over the touch line but I'm glad to say I never hurt anyone badly. It was " Marker " type player that broke my leg the first time. Second time it was just an accident.
  18. If you think Scholes didn't know how to tackle you're barking up the wrong tree. He was clever enough to make it look that way. Just because the commentators told you he couldn't tackle doesn't make it true.
  19. I liked the rough stuff tomphil but going out to hurt players isn't my style.
  20. All that is holding him back from being an very good player at a higher level is what goes on between his ears. He's a very talented player.
  21. You got it in one tomphil. He knew exactly what he was doing. The idea that he was a dirty player as if by accident is very misguided. There's no room for the Nicky Markers in today's game.
  22. He'll have learnt that move from Downing, he does it all the time.
  23. If you'd have told me in May that we would be signing a striker for £6 million + but he'd be starting games on the bench I would have thought you were crazy.
  24. There was a theory that one of the reasons we signed him to weaken Swindon's efforts.
