I just read the most amazing accusation (from an anonymous person): that Andy Todd is a dirty player. I haven't been watching Rovers in and out all season, obviously being from Australia which only allows me the occasional game, so I kindly ask for the opinion of those he has, but surely Andy Todd is not any of the following description from what I have seen... Surely this is the angry (and the insane?) rambling of an opposition supporter who has felt the wrath of our might team, or someone who has carried Todd's old reputation under Souness into the new Hughes era? Thought lucas had a very good game today. I thought so too, and I thought Mokoena played a good game as well, although Todd should get the nod at centre back ahead of him anyday. Johansson was terrible, while Matteo's performance was refreshing. Emerton played well, and Thompson's passing and shooting should have had him dragged off. Graham Poll had a terrible game, with his general decision-making. He let Arsenal get away with a lot of cheating and time-wasting, too. I thought that we were clearly on top in the first half, although things fell apart a bit in the second. Arsenal certainly did not deserve the win, even if we didn't create too many chances -- a draw would have been a fair result. One moment of lapsed concentration cost us. Start Jon Stead next game, please, since Dickov just doesn't play as a lone striker should.

Why do we have to have those assets? I remember watching Rovers play one of the matches against Arsenal when we did the double over them... it was an extremely scrappy and unpretty game on our part; very much the opposite of what you suggest we need against a side like the Londoners.
