  1. I think we need to guarantee our safety first then I agree may as well just play a few of the younger lads. At least that might make games a bit more interesting watching players most of us haven't seen much of, because lets be honest it really is lining up to be a real dour back end of the season.
  2. Yeah he was deffo a wing back, which to be fair is the position he's best suited to with a strong defender on the left of a back 3 mopping up after him
  3. I've fractured my skull previously and was advised never to play contact sports again without protection. Granted mine was particularly bad and I also had a bleed on the brain. Severe head injuries can also impact you in other ways bringing on anxiety and other issues. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
  4. Its actually unbelievable how many fans on Twitter and the like are creaming themselves over Mulgrews return and suggesting he plays in pretty much every position on the park ? Lovely guy, forever grateful for his performances in league one, but hell fire if you think he deserves a place in the team be it in goal, defence, midfield or up front you need locking in a cellar or something.
  5. Sending Chapman on loan? At a time when we need some attacking flair that would be rather stupid. Surely he's not one of the top earners either. Actually maybe he is, probably got a massive appearance fee in his contract too hence why he has barely played to save pennies ?
  6. Fair play anyone making the trek for this one. I'll be giving it a miss, I've pissed away a fortune over xmas following the team, I need a few weeks off I think. I can see another 1-1 here, not much use to either team. Unless someone nicks a late winner, but I can't see that being us.
  7. Honestly can't see a striker coming in at all. It's an area we've invested in, we don't really have any injuries in that department so its gonna be hard for TM to blag the powers that be to release the purse strings on that front unless maybe Samuel is sold and Brereton loaned out. An old Souey classic case of weeing with the willy we've got I imagine. On the flipside how would we even persuade a striker to come here anyway? A few weeks maybe months to get used to the 'rovers way' then to be welcomed to the circus by being asked to play on the wing. Further to that if I was a prem club looking to loan a young striker out, I'd be massively cautious about allowing them to come here and risk hampering their development. AT BEST I think we might manage a cheap lower league/foreign left back and a left winger again either from the lower leagues or abroad or indeed someone we've never heard of on loan.
  8. He's basically said he wants a bit of something to do until his house in Cornwall is ready ? Sorry but fuck that, not interested in us being a little gap filler for someone to take them through till retirement.
  9. Exactly. I think those claiming to be ITK these days just make up things that could in theory be plausible and come off but no real meat to the bones. It's a lot different to say 10 years ago when info was quite readily leaked from inside, hell fire I used to get good info from people in marketing and even security staff! Not now.
  10. Charlton have announced our game with them will be one of their £5 a ticket deals. Probably won't be quite the same demand as the League One season but still an absolute bargain in this day and age. Always a good day out too.
  11. Who's it actually come from that the plan was to sell Dack?
  12. Or play actual wide men like Downing or Chapman there and don't make a fairytale signing that's well past his best.
  13. Not sure if everyones seen the videos circulating on social media of them brain dead pricks singing about Jack Walker, just sums them up.
  14. Den Haag would literally be a perfect loan move for Ben. Get his head down out the spotlight, hopefully get played as an actual striker. Also if anyone follows Dutch football the defences on the whole are absolutely garbage apart from the top teams so he will bag a few.
  15. There's going to come a point where Hughton has to lower expectations if he wants another managerial job in this country. Realistically who in the prem would offer him a deal? A return to Norwich if Farke was to leave? Can't see Villa potting Smith likewise Bournemouth with Howe. The other teams round there have relatively new managers or ones whom are safe.
  16. IF we could somehow get him to come to Ewood it would be for a few months. He's said at the start of this season its categorically his last season as a manager for various personal reasons. Perhaps Google the interview.
  17. It's most definitely Mowbray tactics, the trouble is literally nobody from the fans to the player can work out what he's actually trying to achieve from it. It's at the point now where it just looks like sheer stubbornness on Mowbrays part, he WANTS this super tactic to work so will persevere with it endlessly.
  18. Evidently a lot of people feel the same, hence the poor gates. Let's be honest it stems partly from being a mid table team. Even a relegation battle brings a bit more excitement to the table, although no I don't want to involved in another! The only way its possibly going to change is A. new owners, which we know is incredibly unlikely or B. new manager, still seems unlikely to me, but the more likely of the 2. It's like I said yesterday, theres missing thousands out there who if asked which team they support they'll say Rovers, but they aren't 'active'. Then you have the thousands who do attend through blind loyalty who will go season after season in the same seat. I've missed a few home games this season myself but after catching the highlights after and speaking to people who did go, the answer is always that I didnt miss much. Rovers sadly are sliding down peoples lists of priorities.....
  19. Our midfield often escapes criticism. Goalkeeper drops a clanger he gets slated. Strikers miss chances they get slated. We have a plethora midfielders, yet let's be honest, they are creating far too little in the way of chances.
  20. Used to be a group of circa 20 of us with season tickets, every single week I'd get messages asking if there were any spare tickets going. Now? Literally loads of freebies floating about. We have a hell of a lot of people who class themselves as rovers fans if asked, but no intention of attending, unless perhaps we ever get back in that poisonous league.
  21. I know its not his fault but he is SO injury prone, we were getting a bit of joy on the right too before he came off.
  22. He can be a pest in and around the box and finish, we may as well be a bit experimental now tbh
  23. What's the worst that can happen?
  24. I'd happily pick him over Holtby tbh, just keen to see what Holtby is made of and give him some game time.
