  1. Walton not even in the squad today.....
  2. That's definitely wrong I'm afraid. Listen I'm not even a massive Gallagher fan but misleading stats don't paint the full picture. We're stuck with him now regardless of peoples opinions so the obvious thing to do is play to his strengths, but we won't, so he won't improve.
  3. Would be one of the most backwards transfer dealings ever if we get shut of Lenihan to bring him in.
  4. Alan Judge has surely got to be bollocks? I mean replacing Dacks goals with a player who's bagged 1 goal in like 40 appearances for Ipswich? Perfect solution.
  5. Ironically in a game most of us aren't really arsed about who plays he suggests he will pick a settled team ? I'm starting to think he likes winding us up now.
  6. Have you got a stat for that?
  7. Bit misleading as he hasn't played purely as a striker has he ? Another stat is he's well up there in numbers of aerial duals won. The problem? These aerial duals are out wide in no mans land half the time! Does that itself not suggest we need to either be firing balls into the box at head height to be converted into goals? OR play someone with pace off him in a front 2 I.e Armstrong like the classic Niall Quinn and Kev Phillips partnership.
  8. Well its no coincidence our recent good spell was with a settled team being selected. Some changes have obviously been enforced through injuries however yes he's taken it to extremes. The players are either terribly unfit or he is being too mard with them, theres also the issue of him trying to work out a system that works whilst Dack is out. I'm hoping now that fixture pile up is out the way we're going to see less changes per match, no guarantee though!
  9. He does seemingly need some new boots though, slipping a lot against Huddersfield especially. Potentially a creative spark when we're badly lacking one so lets hope he stays fit and starts to make a name for himself again.
  10. Its pretty common for a football club to sell tickets in blocks though, not sure why we should bow down to them because the poor little things want to sit in the bottom tier like spoilt brats. They will all crumble anyway as they won't want to miss their cup final.
  11. Conway was one of the best crossers of the ball since Ripley and Wilcox, however age had well and truly taken its toll and he was no use as a winger anymore. Found his level at this stage in his career at Salford and doing very well by all accounts with numerous assists and MOTM awards.
  12. I don't view them as rivals at all. Every Preston fan I know is sound tbf as well, but on social media etc they don't half come across as a set of bitter clowns and for that reason it'd be good to put one over on them. Their form in the last 5 is identical to ours so we both desperately need a win to stop the rot. Their defending yesterday was arguably more comical than ours, that own goal was an absolute pearler!
  13. https://www.pne-online.net/forum/index.php?threads/plastics-away-ticket-details-3pm-kick-off.3429499/ Some of the comments on here really do beggar belief ? Ones suggested we WANT them to get tickets for the home end so theres trouble and they can justify moving it back to an early KO.
  14. Brentford spent just shy of 9M on Pontus Jansson and Pinnock on top of the 3M on Raya. Spot the difference.
  15. Teams have been promoted on the back of their loan dealings anyway, Watford and Villa just a few examples in recent times. Just to clarify I don't think we will get promotion, but we can still improve our squad. Instead of crying about having no money to spend on players theres loan deals to be done.
  16. This is spot on. Despite numerous calls to pot Mowbray theres hardly any realistic replacements being mentioned! Hughton is the only one I've read that I'd be open to, but you'd also question if thats realistic. He seems to be holding out for a premiership job again. The only option is an Ainsworth type to step up from the lower league I'm afraid and that too is fraught with risk. Admittedly it is one we may have to take at some point if things don't improve.....
  17. They blatantly signed Steele to up the homegrown player quota
  18. Warnock said this is definitely his last season as a manager as he wants to enjoy life with his missus whilst they still can. So yeah in theory he could step in for a few months and see what he could do, what's the point though? He ain't gonna work with the Venkys not a chance. If anything he might accept an SOS job to save a team from relegation then bow out head held high.
  19. Yeah maybe he is, doesn't mean he isn't still prone to mistakes like most keepers are!
  20. Just watching highlights of the rest of the days games and we might slate our defence but hell fire theres been a lot worse out there today!
  21. The way they're defending here it may be sooner rather than later
  22. Didn't really do much wrong today, he was uncharacteristically sloppy against Huddersfield and just seemed a bit rusty in fairness.
  23. He said his injury was fatigue related, which as ridiculous as it sounds wouldn't see him walking about on crutches
  24. Just following up the comments about it being Tosins last game
  25. Well that puts to bed another shit shower of a xmas period, again. Glad to see the back of it. Honestly couldn't care less who he names in the starting lineup at brum. They need to work their bollocks off in training now leading up to the Preston game. I think Chapman has made a case to start against them too. Which means he won't even make the bench no doubt....
