Huddersfield Town 29.12.19

People on here have suggested Dack be dropped previously too...... Life after Dack, albeit a temporary one is proving to be very tough. Literally not one player on that pitch yesterday looked like popping up with a moment of magic like Dack often could even when we were playing garbage. It's like the entire team have gone on a massive downer in his absence too, almost as if they've given up because we know he's not there to bail us out. What the answer is I honestly have no idea, especially with no pennies available. -

It's not really fair to judge him on a 15 minute cameo in a frustrating game when he hasn't played first team football for so bloody long, for reasons only TM must know. No he wasn't great at all but certainly not as bad as some on that pitch. He's probably set to be banished back to the u23s now though. -

In fairness prior to the festive season taking hold he did seem to be picking a more settled team (much to the relief of us lot). I think he has too much faith in his fringe players more than anything, whilst it's good if your a player that the manager believes in you, some just aren't good enough and it unsettles the balance of the team. We need to hobble over the line at Forest, then I'd play an experimental team at Brum in the cup. After that 2 really tough games against Preston and Sheff Weds, by which point he needs to stop the chopping and changing. -

He's really not, he weighs about 9kg more which is nothing and they're roughly the same height, you could gain that in lean muscle in no time if it was an issue. Messi actually had a growth hormone deficiency growing up. Using the low centre of gravity to his advantage is how Buckley needs to focus rather than bulking up. And no I'm not saying Buckley is the next messi for one minute ? -
He's a good bench player as he can cover a few positions if required, but that's all he should be. He's a good character to have in the dressing room regardless of if he's getting any time on the pitch. I just wish he was better in terms of ability as his commitment and effort can't be called into question.

People on here. If he doesn't play tomorrow I might get worried. TM himself said he might make the Birmingham game but if not Huddersfield so we shall see. -

Agreed. Admittedly barely seen much of the U23 team but hes notches a few goals lately too. In fairness he must struggle to motivate himself sometimes playing for them, he didnt come to Ewood to play reserve team football, at the very least he needs a place on the bench and 20 mins game time. -

Why are people seemingly obsessed with Buckley bulking up? It's not always necessary depending upon position and pretty sure it's not a priority. IF the club wanted him to do so it's VERY easy to do so at that age especially with the facilities and knowledge available at Brockhall. Ain't nobody telling Messi or Neymar to start throwing extra plates on their bench press! -
https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18125566.rovers-transfer-stance-bradley-dack-injury/ The gaffer has spoken..... Don't think this will come as much of a surprise to anybody

He will have been 25 when he signed for Leicester, Fleetwood were non league at the time though so still a big leap up in class. Guess who he scored his first league goal against..

Looks like they have a few key injuries themselves so it's no good us feeling hard done to regarding Dack we need to get on with it. Hogg picked up an injury, we could do with him missing out. -

Given the line up in Thursday I imagine there will be 5 or 6 changes for this one and the line up should be much stronger, quietly confident -
How the hell am I wrong? I've given you examples that I thought of in a few seconds ffs which proved YOU wrong.
-
You said no players over 27 had signed for premiership teams, regardless of position its absolute nonsense!
-
Leicester were a championship team when he moved there
-
Well I can guarantee you that stat is completely incorrect. Off the top of my head for examples, David Luiz and Tom Heaton are definitely above 30 years old. Jay Rodriguez? Erik Pieters?
-
Really? Come off if, 27 is definitely not getting on a bit.

Full allocation. Rightly so as well its not far at all and most of us haven't been there for a while. I'll hang fire on buying my Forest ticket till I see how we get on though I think.... -

Now sold out ? Looking forward to it. -
As crap as Brum were I think TM underestimated them a little bit and thought we could turn them over with more fringe players than was necessary. Most managers in the country chopped and changed a bit yesterday, I think playing Monday made him fret a bit more than most. I think (hope) he will pick a stronger 11 on Sunday, it's easy to forget he did pick the same team for a few games in a row previously. The Dack injury has probably thrown a bit of a spanner in the works though and we will see a few different approaches to filling that void. Yesterday's clearly didn't work so hopefully there's something else up his sleeve. It's easy to criticise the team for dropping points but so did a lot of teams round us bar Forest and Brentford. Stats are firmly pointing to a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield put hopefully we can pull another Bristol type away performance off, looking forward to the game and looks like we're almost sold out now.
