I doubt Thursday night football vs Slovan Bratislava in the Eujoker league is that appealing to be honest and they're likely to drop out at the group stage. The Turkish league is woeful and playing in it week in week out is not an attractive proposition.

His alternatives didn't sound amazing. China where he would make a heap of cash but that's literally it. Turkey where he would get borderline assaulted every game and I doubt the wages offered were massive. Agree with a lot of your comments. I too follow German football and can't remember being blown away by Holtby much the last few seasons. Not totally against it but it just seems odd timing and he won't be match fit either. When he is it gives the tinker man another option too when he really could do with settling on his first choice 11 by now.

Bennett's far more suited to playing wing back, in fact I'd go as far as saying it's his ideal position. He's got that right sided centre half mopping up after him when he does push forward, in a 442 he doesn't have that luxury and it causes issues time and time again. Yesterday's formation can work, however we are very much dependent on none of the back 3 getting injured really. If we get lucky and line up like that for a decent period of time it'll only get better. So 4-5-1 next game Tony? ??‍♂️

Honestly? I think Armstrong's best position is sub. Not just being a nob towards him I just think he's better off the bench running at tired players. Unpopular opinion I bet but Rothwell also plays better as a sub, tin hat on.

I wouldn't call it spunking money on Armstrong he was cheap enough. The other 2, whilst not amazing are continually being played in stupid effing positions I'm honestly losing patience in it

In fairness I'm more comfortable with Bennett as a wing back than full back, he could do a decent job there. Not sure about the rest of the team though the chopping and changing is getting a bit silly now, you piss about in pre season doing things like this.

Not really no, in fact it may turn out to be a positive in a weird way. He'll end up in the u23 team to regain match fitness and will play as a striker and bang some goals in. Maybe TM will then take note.
