  1. Remember when Ince returned to West Ham? He was subjected to bananas being thrown at him and severe racist abuse throughout the game by large sections of the crowd. That actually received far less press coverage also than the DY incident! We could go on all day too bringing up incidents like Kurt Nogan Vs our dear friends from Burnley that have been swept under the carpet. It's getting boring now hearing about the amount of fuss this has all caused. Will be interesting to see what reaction Yorke receives IF he ever visits Ewood again.
  2. how exactly does that sound then !!!!!!!!! It's quite simple. Our mission, if we choose to accept it, is to find the whereabouts of a bit of a nob wearing a half Roma/half Burnley scarf, with what can only be described as a BROCKNEY accent. SOmeone must know of an individual fitting this description
  3. They both sound quick to lay into us, who do they think they are? 2-0 Rovers.
  4. Don't think anyone can deny that's good news! Sad to see TP go but we can't just pay him money for nothing. It's life, we had to let an old boy go at work this week who'd worked here all his life, same scenario.
  5. Youri's not a popular choice anymore it seems
  6. Yes and none of the crowd were giving off negative vibes on Saturday, there's no harm discussing the problems on here though!
  7. Because one pint doesn't equate to a pi$$-up. There's still a lot of areas that need addressing despite a decent result/performance on Saturday.
  8. Odd/non-existent tactics. A complete lack of understanding of the offside trap. Low morale/confidence. Above all I don't think Hughes knows his players properly yet.
  9. Hughes out - ridiculous statement to make, stick to your Friday (un)funnies. However Hughes isn't totally blameless like some people are making out, presumably because they wanted him to be the manager and fail to see his weaknesses. The squad he was left with is better than a lot of the teams above us, end of story.
  10. No-ones going to organise it. People would much rather just come on an internet message board and bleat about it.
  11. Seems to me like theres a lot of belly-aching on this thread. Firstly anyone who lets a few Boro fans get to them that much shouldn't attend football matches. I bet they're still laughing now at how easy it was to wind a few Rovers up. Banter is part of football - deal with it. So what if they were in a hospitality box in the B'burn end? We need every penny we get at the moment. The sad fact that the B'burn public couldn't give a toss about attending and supporting their local team means that unfortunately we are now heavily reliant on away fans to bolster the gates! Standing up is quite simply not allowed, they're the rules, stick to them. Seems to me that a large proportion of the people persistently standing are teenage lads who think they look hard standing up and love the rebel element of it all, proper mugs the lot of them. I've witnessed the moronic £2 an hour etc chants and to be honest if they didn't support the same team as me I'd be tempted to kick the clowns out myself. So what if the away fans are standing up, does that make it ok? Can I go round murdering Mancs on the basis that Shipman did it? The only way you're gonna stop them is by forcing the referee to stop the game till everyone sits down............. or by amputating their legs on entrance into the stadium.
  12. Ok we have a slight problem here - Neill can't head a ball. End of.
  13. no thats what IM doing, Ste will be at the game but no doubt in the cross for last orders He'll have plenty of time then on the basis that last orders seem to get later every week there
  14. SteB won't be there anyway, he'll be propping up the bar in the cross tonight surely?
  15. You would have missed England V Wales to go and watch tonights game if it were being played tomorrow? Fair enough, your choice I guess. Did I say if the game was tomorrow? I've never been to an under-21's game purely on the basis that I've got better things to do on a Friday night. You can see from the crowd that they're full of kids and parents with horns and whistles anyway, no thanks.
  16. Because it's an England International Game Because you can talent spot the up and coming England Squad Because we want to show off Ewood Because it's a special occasion Because our Jon Stead is playing Because you can Just Because Still, why would we possibly want miserable (thinking of rude word but won't say it) people there? I'm going, and I intend to enjoy it! Come on England, and Jon Stead! Alternatively you can sit in a nice warm public house supping draught ale and watch the action. I know which I'll be doing. It's a Friday night, I might have gone on a Saturday but that's life
  17. Will it buggery, do you realise how many hours a footballer puts in a day?
  18. Wasn't really THAT long ago that you really needed a season ticket to get tickets for away games. Coventry away in fancy dress was a good un, must have been 6k there that day
  19. We'll smash them, 4-1 England
  20. I voted for Graham Hawkins, just because I can.
  21. Well you've obviously gone to a lot of trouble with that post AESF but I seriously doubt your average Rovers fan puts that much thought into where their cash ends up.
  22. How can you get bored of watching Rocky videos? Strange man! The chelsea game is probably gonna be on Canal+ anyway so I feel my £40 is better off spent on funding the lager diet.
  23. Find it hard to see up breaching the Villa defence I'm afraid Actually ###### no, 2-0 to us
  24. Well do the logical thing - ask uncle warburton to confirm.
  25. A few of us on here were slightly worried about Hughes' lack of experience in the transfer market prior to his appointment. Well I must admit he's gonna have problems if he thinks he can sign players by just throwing his beanie hat into a ring?!
