[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?
Ossydave replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Whats all this?!? He's been signing Italian dogs?! He's a bloody football manager not a dog trainer, what the hells going on? I doubt the geordies will be happy when they find out that Shearers replacement is a poodle -

I was sat a bit away from the banner in question but I made it out to say 'TROOPERS HEAD IS LIKE A HORSES BUM' -
[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?

Well all signs point to there being a bit of cash to spend in January then. Does this mean that the board had started to doubt Souness in the transfer market and tighten the purse strings more than was neccessary? Only time will tell I suppose. -
Well I'll be there and to be honest it's actually the first time in a LONG time I've actually been looking forward to a match
-
So does anyone know who's making the new kits?
-
Are SSN not covering it? I'd look but I'm stuck at work
-
I knew you'd say something sensible one day Besides, the scenery is so nice in Wales that its inhabitants don't want to go on holiday in other countries, I suspect that's something to do with it. Oh and theres a small boy that runs up mountains there if you forget your change, allegedly.
-
Yes you can listen to talksport online, talksport.net I think it is.
-
Why? Is there still some dust on it? Has Souness took the cleaners with him to Newcastle too?
-
I don't think he prances round the Golden Cross with a Strongbow beanie hat on though on a Friday night
-
Big gangly Hartson nodding down for little nippy Earnshaw is basically playing to your strengths isn't it? Don't see how we'd even consider playing longball given our strikeforce.
-
Have we?!? Why on earth isn't there a new thread telling us that?
-
All the things you seem to know about Mark Hughes are being contradicted by someone who actually plays for him. from teamtalk: Aston Villa defender Mark Delaney has pleaded with Mark Hughes to remain as Wales manager and resist any approach by Blackburn. Delaney is hoping the challenge of leading Wales to their first tournament since 1958 will persuade his international boss to snub the chance to move into club management. He told the club's official website: "I think everybody that saw the vacancy automatically thought of Mark because he'd been there as a player and because of the job he's done for Wales. But it's encouraging to see he wants to fulfil his ambitions with Wales. "It's not a surprise to see him linked with these jobs. What he's done for Welsh football has been nothing short of dramatic. We were down and pretty much out and he's turned it round full circle. "Now we're a nation to be reckoned with home and away, so what he's done with limited resources is remarkable. "It's not just Blackburn. Any job that comes up, I'm sure he's going to be linked with. So the quicker the management positions are filled, the better for us." Good post Andy, I'd say we fit into the 'down and pretty much out' catergory at the moment. Lets hope Hughes can work wonders for us too........

A campsite outside the headquarters of the Welsh FA?! That can't be a very picturesque venue really can it? The adverts say that Wales is beautiful and that a small boy will run up mountains to give you your change if you forget it, liars., the lot of them. I'm not sure we can trust Hughes after hearing this
-
Really? News to me! Ok maybe 'most' was a bit OTT. A lot of them were though.
-
EXACTLY, well said that man! And lets be honest most decent managers were also decent players in their time. Hughes has worked under some of the best managers around throughout his career, I'd like to think he's picked up on a few of their good points along the way.
-
Do you honestly believe he would top the pole? John Williams is a pole dancer?!?! Blimey, uncle Warburton gets around a bit! Does his missus know he frequents clubs with greying men cavorting round a pole?

Ahhh good to know Palace have a 'Hughsey' on their messageboard too
-
So Hughes has STILL not really commented on whether or not the Rovers job interests him. He's just told us he's a Welshman really, I'm sure one of Hughesy's sources could have confirmed that to us days ago. Does anyone know what odds we can get on God being the new PNE manager on betfair?
-
I currently stand to win about £20 if Hughes is the new manager, about £100 if it's either Strachan or Dowie, about £150 if its Moyes, and about a grand if it's Martin O'Neill (£2 at odds of 580 on betfair)! There will be some singing in the streets of Sale if Martin O'Neill joins I can tell you. Obviously I lose a bundle if it's anyone else!! It's going to be Keegan I'm afraid to say. He's been seen at the petrol station on Preston New Road..the Samlesbury one I think..oh and he's a good mate of JW. Oh my god, in preston! Have you got a source for this? Does this mean that PNE have tapped God up to be their new manager? If so that's a bloody joke, he's exactly the sort of manager we need right now and if a club of PNE's stature can attract him then we definitely would have been able to. Very annoyed at this news.

You and your sources again! Is the 'guy' more reliable than uncle Warburton and old cousin Hovis? This is genuine. A guy that works at the academy as a coach for the younger players. How the hell would he know? Is John Williams coaching the youth teams now? I'm sure most of us have 'sources' within the club and it's easy to find out a lot of stuff, i.e details on the new kit in the summer for example but I think it's safe to say no-one apart from the board have any idea as to who will be our next manager. With all the 'insider info' you spout on here you're bound to get one right eventually through the laws of averages alone but stop posting drivel to try and look ITK, it doesn't work
-
I was actually speaking to a guy that works up at the adademy on saturday and he was saying that everyone there says its Hughes who has got the job if he wants it. You and your sources again! Is the 'guy' more reliable than uncle Warburton and old cousin Hovis?
