  1. I think its just a clever spin on words to be honest, it doesn't mention it being a record deal financially. It's probably a month longer than previous deals or something ridiculous like that. Do the U21 team always have the same sponsor I can't remember?
  2. Every club will have a cut off, it's usually the start of August though. That's a bit daft they weren't prepared to bend the rules by a day mind.
  3. Sidibie is a frigging giant in the Vieira mould, not sure he's anywhere near in terms of playing ability mind
  4. The admin on the page are claiming they know who has posted it and that they're "surprised they're posting on here", very cryptic
  5. Why would an agent be mad anyway about players he represents needing new clubs? It would be a good thing, it's how they make their money getting deals for players....
  6. Thats the group icon, not the individual poster, his profile picture is just the incognito logo
  7. He was excellent last season, not sure it was enough to have the likes of Leipzig circling though.
  8. Waggott will have enquired about Ben Wilson 100% especially if Ruddy prefers a move closer to home.
  9. What makes it worse is next season should be an easy sell too, given how much teams will feature on TV. It just smacks of lack of ambition and to be quite honest pure laziness. I'd love to hear a list of potential sponsors we approached. Probably just googled businesses near blackburn and rang 2 or 3 up, a chippy, a taxi firm and ultimately a solicitors.
  10. I know a fair few who crumbled last few days and renewed, fair play to them
  11. Never seems to be any sort of imagination given to the friendlies, pretty much the same'ish every year and see if anyone approaches us. Surprised Swag hasn't tried tapping up Celtic or Rangers to play at Ewood as they'd probably bring 8k.
  12. Let's hope so, would be nice to at least be entertained a bit
  13. Almost exactly the same boat as me 👍
  14. Lots of clubs on the continent after Grimaldo, could we attract a Peru international? Looks a tricky bugger and would add a bit of excitement, exactly the sort of thing I imagine Eustace would hate.
  15. Mansfield have sold around 6k for context, guessing its similar numbers despite us 'smashing it'.
  16. I was thinking the same, you could literally see the ref doing a dive action and the clown came out with that
  17. I've watched almost every game so far, benefits of working from home in tournament time. I can safely say the England game is the worst I've watched up to now....
  18. Connor Mahoney signed for them too, mad to think he's only 27 and was being touted as a hot prospect.
  19. I've no issues with a bit of experience, as back up. It's a hectic schedule and your centre halves are 100% picking up knocks over the course of a season. It's obvious McFadzean is a popular and respected figure, just look at the reaction he got against Coventry. As I say, the deal must be a sensible one though and in line with what a backup, ageing centre half should be earning. Suspect O'Riordan will feature quite a lot pre season to see what he's made of and pretty sure we'll bring in someone in on loan again, although Koumetio wasn't really used last season for whatever reason.
  20. Given that Wharton's out for some time I think McFadzean COULD be an OK signing on sensible terms, but that's where its likely to fall down when we have simpletons negotiating.
  21. Can't believe how many would prefer to shoehorn TAA in rather than someone who'd literally be ideal with Rice
  22. If people are being selective with their budget, as I imagine most are, all the things you've listed (aside from McDonald's which is shite) are probably viewed more enjoyable than last season at Ewood. If the offering on the pitch was more appealing then people would be a lot more willing to allocate their budget accordingly.
  23. A Coventry season ticket has a lot more appeal as it stands, they were looking like play off candidates last season till their form dropped off, probably didn't help with the cup run and fixture congestion. Robins will have them up there again. Not to mention the size of the place. Still impressive nonetheless.
  24. The decline in gates didn't just happen overnight, on the flipside they've done so much damage now they wouldn't be recoverable overnight. You will still have people 'boycotting' but they'll still watch some games on TV and if they ask themselves "am I missing much?"......with what was being served up last season the answer will undoubtedly be a fat NO.
