  1. Beale is getting some right grief off Sunderland fans, wanting him gone already after what a month in charge? A narrow 1 nil loss to Hull, I mean its better than our current predicament getting pasted every week 🥲
  2. Is it bollocks. Anyone thinking he'd be a good signing has become utterly brainwashed, or just accepted we're well on the road to league 1.
  3. We've heard this about pride before, surely they have a ready made excuse now though. The big bad Indian government are preventing them investing in their beloved Blackburn Rovers, its not their fault 🥲 If they can try and apportion blame elsewhere surely they would, in an attempt to try and save face.
  4. As stubborn as Mowbray was, I find it hard to believe he'd have accepted conceding this ridiculous amount of goals without taking action. Even during the death spirals we weren't getting twatted off the park every week like we are now.
  5. We've become accustomed to poor runs of form in the past few seasons for sure. Under TM you'd usually expect a turn of fortunes due to a change of tactics or personnel though. Jon's options are limited in terms of personnel, he MUST look to change up the tactics. Indications suggest he ain't up for that though, the stubborn approach is wearing incredibly thin now. I'm really not confident at all I'm afraid. The only hope really is Szmodics plays out of his skin and bangs 2 or 3 goals in, no way we'll keep a clean sheet. Worrying and depressing times, not helped by news off the field, but we've had years of that so it's not exactly a new concept.
  6. Jackson has responded on twitter too. I wonder if the old boy Sharpe might be open to spilling a bit more about what he knows now he's not associated with the club too? 🤔
  7. I doubt it, they have Alfie May who's probably better, plus they've had a bid accepted for Clarke Harris, again - another player who'd probably be better for us that Ennis.
  8. Ennis favours a move down south, he's just waiting on the right interest. Barnsley nightlife ain't really for him. Suspect he'll end up at a London club.
  9. When you're absolutely shite and not playing for the manager you tend to get players saying they're 'ill' or have a knock. There have been bids for szmodics so not sure if he's interested or what. Almost at the point where I'm past caring now, January is depressing enough but this lot are making it 10 times worse.
  10. You'll struggle to find many worse teams than us in the football league at the minute, nevermind just the championship. Utterly hopeless at the moment and going down.
  11. Szmodics absolutely, #1 without a doubt. I'd say Tronstad probably #2. The others in the list have alternatives, we have absolutely 0 alternatives to Gallagher in a similar mould. The results speak for themselves.
  12. Trafford was never ever getting that ball. He was practically static waiting for it to drop into his hands, although he'd completely misjudged the flight of the ball. Its slightly harsh against a normal team, but it's fucking hilarious against the pond life down the road. Bearing on mind the Barnes push on Kaminski was probably their favourite footballing memory, ever.
  13. If you're android just browse the site in incognito mode and you'll be fine.
  14. Exactly. If we signed Kieffer Moore on loan (pie in the sky in know), then I'd be happy to shift Gallagher on and tackle the issue again in the summer. As it stands though Gallagher is probably one of our top 3 most important players. Its a bit ridiculous that it's come to that, but not sure how people can argue it.
  15. I've got zero confidence in our ability to keep a clean sheet I'm afraid, and the that's the only way we get anything here. Last 4 championship games in a row for them have had a single goal in, a 1 nil smash and grab probably the only way. I suspect the instruction from JDT will be to come out all guns blazing and try and nick an early goal to influence the game. We've done that numerous times this season but just not managed the actual goal part! You never know, it'll happen 1 day. A weak performance from wahlstedt surely means his last first team game for the foreseeable with Pears waiting in the wings now. Genuinely hope he can come out and play a blinder today but I'm not convinced.
  16. The problem is, as always, he probably won't even be replaced. We've definitely missed him, but that's partly also because of the lack of an alternative.
  17. For what it's worth on Morton... He was nowhere near as bad as he got made out to be at times, my only real gripe with him was him being too soft. Its how most young players are those these days unfortunately with the odd exception (which is why I'm keen to see Garrett develop more). He'll get more protection in the prem, if he gets his chance there. He'll also get less time on the ball though so will be caught in possession if he doesn't improve that area of his game. He gave away a few silly balls that cost us, BUT so has Adam Wharton, the blue and white brush comes out for him though and under the carpet they go.
  18. Just reading some comments from Wrexham fans, they're completely underwhelmed by the draw, who the feck do they think they are? Safe to say as well as a sizeable allocation, half the country will be behind them as everyone seems invested in the 'story' of Wrexham 🥱
  19. Wonder if they're doing the trick where they send all their tickets back to City again this season as that's on the horizon? Or will it be different this season with it being a VK wankathon 🤔
  20. Szmodics massages his own legs constantly all game, every game, whilst doing his short pulling. Each to their own, he could have a tug at the halfway line if he keeps scoring for me.
  21. He should have been reaching a bit more for the second goal, the first I'll let him off although there's keepers that save it. Granted, defence was shocking for both.
  22. Would anyone risk* trying one of our young keepers out today? Preferably one that can cope on set pieces? I know absolutely nothing about Cambridge but I bet they have a few big lumps they can get up top on set pieces. If they've done any sort of homework they'll know this is their path to an upset. I say upset, but we're 9/20 at home to win in the cup to Cambridge! That really does show you how poor we've been lately. We should be like 1/5 if the bookies had any sort of confidence in us... *not sure it's even a risk after watching the last few
  23. Good on you pal and I hope they put on a bit of a show for you. Wrap up warm it's a nippy one this morning 👍 It came up on my timeline yesterday that I was in Newcastle 5 years ago for the FA CUP, safe to say I was a bit more inspired then.
  24. He's a left back so more likely backup for Pickering. Looks like a decent youth record but beyond that there's not much to go off.
  25. Things like this make me sad, but it highlights the situation perfectly. There were times when I was a young boy and times were hard for both my family and the club. My dad would sometimes take me to sit on the Riverside hill to catch some of a game. It worked and I ended up hooked. I wouldn't dream of taking my youngest to a game now (she's 4) as I fail to see how she'd last longer than 5 minutes before deciding its awful. Growing up we were shite for large chunks of my school life, but I was still proud of the club and would wear my blue and white shirt at any opportunity. How can kids growing up now be proud of a club that the owners don't give a flying fuck about?
