  1. After watching this and their last game, I'm not at all surprised. Both are significant upgrades on what they have currently, and I'm not a huge fan of either player!
  2. He probably will unless it’s a complete disaster. The larger crowds he’s on about also bring added pressure too, Ewoods a very forgiving place to be fair, I dare say sections of the Pride Park crowd won’t be if things don’t go to plan.
  3. It took Eustace 10 or 11 games to get his first win here, if he does the same at Derby they’re basically down. His problems there are very different to when he arrived here, they can’t score goals, they don’t actually concede TOO many. We were scoring goals thanks to Sammy mainly but shipping way too many goals against us too. He tightened things up but goals also become more scarce too. Derby have a bloody tough run coming up, their more favourable games coming towards the end of the season. I honestly think they’ll be a league 1 team next season.
  4. To be clear, not saying I want him at all, just that there’s a lot of noise about it on social media. That being said I also saw a post praising Waggott and Venky’s for so many good signings in the window…. My first choice remains Sam, have a feeling Carsley will definitely be high up the list given his track record with youth players and the fact we’re most likely going to be relying on ours more and more the next few seasons as it stands.
  5. Why? We can do all the legwork, interviews etc assuming they're doing them regardless. Wait till we've got our man and then click submit. Fuck Derby County, we owe them nothing and shouldn't bend over to accommodate them. Can't see Derby winning any of their next 5 aside from maybe Milwall at home, we'll have to see how we're shaping up by the time we play them I suppose too.
  6. Social media awash with fans saying Lowe should get the job till the end of the season.... Amazing what a win can do. I don't even think he'd want it anyway, seems like a quiet chap who likes to stay out of the limelight, he was constantly in discussion with the rest of the coaching staff last night, really was a collective effort and pleasing too see them all rallying round.
  7. When I saw the lineup I wasn't at all confident. Fair play I was wrong, although I do think Hedges was once again ineffective. Can't really fault anyone else although ACD really needs to man up. I get he's a young kid but he's dodging tackles like Tyler Morton used to in his time here. Gueye was brilliant both ends of the pitch but he needs to be careful trying to win fouls and influence refs at times, as well as his flailing arms. Everyone put a shift in and really proud of them all 💙🤍
  8. Travis probably respects Eustace more than most, he resurrected his Ewood career after his clear disagreements with JDT. People love to try and imply they're ITK at time like this though, weirdos.
  9. It is a bit weird they've not said who's taking charge tonight, pretty standard for clubs to say that, but then again - standard club we are not. Fuck emailing the club to ask then though 🤣 Last time under Johnno and Lowe against Stoke we actually played better than certainly the early days of Eustace' tenure, so you never know tonight. We either get a disorganised mess or a fuck off John we'll do this without you pal performance. AK47 is a must start, not sure Dennis will be able to start again though just yet. Looking forward to it, more from a curiosity perspective really. I reckon uncle Tony will be asked about the Eustace scenario and start gushing about how he's a great man post match 🤮
  10. There's nothing to suggest another manager couldn't have kept us up though, again I reiterate I don't want Eustace to go, but I don't think he has the god-like qualities some are making out. Sheffield Wednesday are almost a like for like comparison. They finished below us last season, they have probably invested a similar amount with Ugbo being their main signing of note. They sit 3 points behind us (for now).
  11. People are numb to any form of protest now, anything that happens will be a small number of people I'm afraid and fair play to them.
  12. The players I agree on, we're just 'existing' at the moment and the loan players are like any business taking on 'seasonal temps' - it's obviously no way to run a football club! Eustace though? I'm not sure about that, what's he actually done to deserve one? We did survive relegation by the skin of our teeth, but that was massively down to Szmodics. Granted he tightened the defence up a bit but it wasn't exactly a flawless first spell in charge. This season how many games have we actually played well in, seriously? I haven't left many games thinking wow we looked amazing today. The winning streak was good and smoothed things over, being in the top 6 helps with that! However you don't get anything at all for being top 6 in Feb as we know. It's staggering we're somehow still there but teams around us will start ramping things up now as their Jan signings bed in. So at this point, why did Eustace need a new contract? I didn't want him to go if I'm honest but he didn't need one till the end of the season when league position actually means something. Also led to believe he was saying goodbyes to some of the staff at Brockhall on Friday (with a smirk on his face). Should have just let Johnson take charge on Sunday. My views on the owners and especially Suhail are very clear and not defending them in any way, shape or form just to be clear. However, I don't believe the bullshit about being with his family that Eustace is coming out with. A championship manager spends a fair chunk of time on the road anyway when you factor in all the away games etc. JDT made a lot more of a commitment on that front!!! Let's not forget we've won 2 games in the last 11, a new manager bounce now could actually be useful. We're in the hands of simpletons to get the appointment right like but a short term deal with a huge play off bonus is the way to do things, for now.
  13. Up until recently I'd have said no chance, given his comments though there's every chance. He could boost his retirement fund with a few months work.
  14. Allardyce for me too. Absolutely no point having any sort of long term plan so just offer him a massive promotion bonus on a short term deal. He would take it I’m almost certain.
  15. There'd be no shortage of applicants. When Eustace leaves he's not going to rip into the owners is he? He'll say he wanted to be nearer to his family to keep up the nice guy persona .
  16. Even if the owners would engage with Eustace, which I highly fucking doubt, would you believe a word that came out of their stinking mouths? He's gone.
  17. May as well start the new manager thread at this point, if Derby are willing to pay, the rats will take it and pocket the cash and it looks like that's all that needs agreeing at this point. Anything or anyone is fair game to them to make a few extra quid. The slide down the table will continue and the gates will continue to tumble as another season goes down the pan.
  18. I mean they signed Langas for about 4m in the window along with a striker and a few more, it's more than we fucking spent!
  19. Last 5 or so we're averaging 2 goals a game conceded, we were fortunate not to concede 2 against Preston as well. We're really creaking without Tronstad I feel, when is he due back again? 😵 I mean it isn't unexpected, but it's really hitting us hard now. Whilst it's great to have Trav back, he doesn't look anywhere near as effective either without his partner alongside him. We seemed to be playing without a midfield last night. Very disappointing Kargbo got so little game time but sure JE had his reasons, give the boy a start on Sunday though. The midweek away day blues continue, but I don't think it comes as a major surprise. Looking forward to a break from the league and integrating the new lads now before WBA, you just know the stage is set for Tony and Adam to do us over there.
  20. Not quite Boro levels but we have a decent record against the R's so they're probably not looking forward to playing us. That said, do we ever play well on a Tuesday night? A numerous of teams around us play in the league at weekend so we could slip a few places here if we lose. They've only failed to score twice in 15 at home, a clean sheet is gonna be very hard work, I'm going for a 2-1 away win with Hyam and another Cantwell penalty for the goals.
  21. Impressive, he's never played for Wolves 🤔
  22. Why does it say on the website Dennis is still subject to approval from the relevant football authorities? Woodrows doesn't.....presumably something to do with the salary structure or the fact it was last, last minute? There's still a chance we can fuck it up right? On the face of it an OK window. At 27 this is a career defining move for Dennis. Question marks over his fitness of course, if we'd signed him at the start of the window he'd probably be fully fit by now too 🙄 Woodrow I'm not sure on at all tbh, Luton fans aren't very complimentary at all. Still he may read those comments and think you know what I'll show the fuckers. Forshaw seemed a poor signing and still does, haven't even seen a glimmer to suggest he can help us. Sanderson is an extra body in, looked OK on his debut I suppose. Kargbo I'm intrigued to see play, potentially an exciting signing, guessing he's pretty much match fit too so can get involved pretty quickly. Ribeiro was a tidy player at Forest and gives us an option to push Beck forward too, quite happy with him.
  23. Things that will definitely happen today: 1. Rudy and Swag will have prem teams on speed dial asking for any kids on loan, doesn't matter their position or ability 2. Nixon will drop numerous 'work to be done and 'its possible but Blackburn need to up their offer' type teasers to give people hope 3. Chaddy will tell people to wait till the window closes 4. Pacy winger will get mentioned up to 12 times, maybe more 5. Hilarious Luca Toni jokes on here 6. Every target mentioned this window will end up elsewhere 7. Elliott Jackson will pretend to have a clue what's going on 8. Bitter disappointment 9. Venkys will still be a shower of twats
  24. Mafoumbi was injured for a while wasn't he? He scored a few weeks ago when back playing, was described as a wonder goal (which was a bit far fetched after watching it).
