  1. Boro imploding? Granted they lost to Huddersfield and that lot down the road (like most have), but I wouldn't go that far. They've easily got the most goals in them out of the play off hopefuls. 24 goals scored in their last 10 games, by comparison we've scored 13.....
  2. I disagree with the whole 'bought the league' argument fans wheel out, heard it ourselves many times about '95. Usually from the mouths or keyboards of fans of teams who funnily enough have never managed to win it themselves. Of course it gives you an advantage having cash to spend, but how many teams have pissed money away over the years with nothing to show? VK has been VERY fortunate in that he's been allowed to bring all his own players in, whilst also getting shut of some deadwood by default. I mean of their departures who has even been a success? Collins is usually a sub for Wolves. Cornet has barely played (not sure if he's been injured though). I forgot he even existed till I saw a video of him being chased by a dog the other day 😕 McNeil I've never ever understood the fuss on, Everton definitely had their pants pulled down there. Pope is a good un, don't think that was ever in doubt. Tarkowski and Mee I guess are doing OK. The rest don't deserve a mention and a few are without a club still I think? It just adds to the dingle argument about all the players they 'lost' so HAD to sign replacements. A few of their better players are also loans, not sure if there's scope to make them permanent though or they'll have big gaps to fill again.
  3. I'd be amazed if a premier league team goes for VK, yet anyway. Of course he's done a good job but he's done it with a significant wedge of cash and a chance to bring in his own players for the most part. Not saying they've bought the league as that's childish, he's had an advantage most managers would love though. Whether he can succeed next season remains to be seen.....City paggered them in the cup because he tried to play the same way, there's no doubt he'll need to adjust certain things.
  4. I've gone for won't make the play offs sadly, of course you never know in football though, its why we love the game (and hate it at times). Christ imagine if we missed out on goal difference....... There's just too many huge games for me now, and although we have won a few like Sheff Utd at home, we've crumbled a few times as well. Lack of experience is often quoted as a reason, if we do miss out then we need to make sure these players use the experience towards next season and beyond. I think Luton will go up this season.......
  5. It's usually at 9am that the next phase of eligibility kicks in, although it has been known to open up early.
  6. Surely it'll sell out in the next few days with it going on open sale tomorrow? We got ours today to be on the safe side. Would be nice for some decent weather like we prior to Monday for a good slurp and a result to match 🍺
  7. Would be utterly pointless for them to try and gather in Blackburn. Surrounding towns such as Accrington more likely.
  8. Where is the final played does anyone know?
  9. It's 4, Brittain bagged too
  10. No we've scored off a corner, showing the first team up...
  11. Lovely little 1-2 and finish that, Edun seems to do OK in his u21 outings
  12. It's playing fair, you're allowed 5 "over age" players
  13. I saw one said dingle claiming we only sold out at Huddersfield so our fans could get tickets for the Derby, he was being serious too 🤣
  14. Cheap option for Leicester, things clearly aren't right behind the scenes. I know they weren't full strength against us but it was far easier than it should have been. Nice easy start for Smith, the small matter of Man City to contend with 😳
  15. Suspect I'm in a minority but I'm actually quite looking forward to a late Saturday game for a change, its a bit rubbish for folk wishing to take their kids though. Good chance we'll be out of the top 6 come kick off time, whether that spurs the team on or makes them even more nervy remains to be seen. I feel as though we really can't afford any more slip ups now if we're serious about the play offs.
  16. As if they're describing it as an 'assault' on the ball boy 🤣 Play stupid games, win stupid prizes and a life lesson for him today. He's lucky it was only Dolan and not some big brick shithouse centre half.
  17. Keith Gillespie was out every Saturday night without fail in Blackburn, 20 Marlboro lights in hand. Always seemed to be out on his own which was a bit strange but he was always pleasant.
  18. Mercer post your P/L for the season, I'm intrigued
  19. Bit deflated after the last few games, maybe the heartbreak in the cup did a bit more damage to the players than anticipated too? All I will say is we often play a bit better when there's not as much expectancy, so you never know. That said, we're somehow still favourites with the bookies to win... Think every man and his dog would like to see Wharton for Morton, hopefully Adam did enough yesterday to stake a claim. Best we can hope for is a 1 nil win, not getting my hopes up though.
  20. Yeah I don't quite understand the appeal of our games to be honest, for a neutral anyway. I remember when they used to show Leeds all the time when they were in the championship but we've eclipsed that this season for sure. I'd rather they show more league 1 and 2 games personally, they seem to forget they're even part of the EFL, they're also set for an exciting end to their seasons too.
  21. The benefits of a season ticket get less and less every season....
  22. Absolutely. After this game there'll be what, 2 games left. It's POTENTIALLY bigger than the cup quarter final if you ask me and demand was huge for that. It'll also be cheaper all factors considered....
  23. Exactly this. I'm sorry but if it's a huge game and people won't pay 30 quid then it's a poor do.
