  1. Gallagher today did something quite brilliant, won the ball, eyed up where he wanted it and literally flicked it onto himself. Sorry but if a big name striker did that sky sports would go into meltdown! Genuinely a work of art, albeit a bit different.
  2. Again left absolutely buzzing by this team, I probably let it get to me too much at times but football massively influences my general mood. I hold my hands up, I've called for the managers head previously. So have many on here, also many of my circle of friends. Can't speak for all on here but the friends are absolute die hard fans, the ones who's been through the good and the bad 80s onwards. We hate Burnley, not just for the sake of a song, we literally despise them. What followed that loss was horrendous (for a while). I saw no way out, I really didn't. The football was dreadful, nobody seemed up for it, certain players like Travis seemed to be going backwards. Why? I have no idea? Struggling with the new approach? Maybe, but the gutless performances some showed just baffle me, especially now. When JDT took over I was buzzing (not blowing my trumpet too much but I mentioned him first). Following that he continued to grow on me, little things like the youngsters doing presentations etc. Great start to the season, cheeky chappy interviews, I loved it. After that we hit turbulence, so much so my head was lodged in the roof. Corners have been turned, players have had rockets way up their backsides. What I'm seeing now is what I was crying out for! Men in blue and white battling for the cause, having each others backs! Pace, passing, Hendry and Moran like figures at the back. JDT, you got me believing again. Any coaches got space for Stoke? 🥲
  3. He said he's got a lot to do, there's more to it than fitness clearly
  4. When JDT was asked about Adam yesterday he just said "oh he's still got a lot to do". I don't think he means that purely on a fitness basis either, I think there's some attitude issues to iron out. I'd be surprised if we see much of him for the remainder of the season.
  5. I thought WBA were on to do a Forest style assault on promotion like last season but they're stuttering a fair bit lately. So much so that Hull themselves are only 3 points behind them....
  6. The defence that got monstered consisted of Ayala, Phillips, Pickering, Edun and Brittain. Hopefully the new pairing of Hyam and Carter gets on a bit better.....
  7. Well if you're right that says more about our fairweather fans. It's easily do-able if you care about the club.
  8. Rest them? They had a sickness bug in the camp didn't they? Which is probably more detrimental than played 90 minutes of football. I hate early kick offs, always seem to get random results or shite games that take ages to get going. It's not that long ago we'd be going into this game dreading a pasting, it's nicer to be going into it with a chance. I said last weeks game at QPR was pivotal and the outcome was the positive one we needed, further enhanced by Tuesday of course. We'd be beyond giddy with a win tomorrow and I'm backing us to get the job done in a narrow 1-0 home win. They've not won in their last 3 away from home, including against QPR who we brushed aside despite the new manager obstacle. Do us proud (again) boys.
  9. Mothers day is hell on earth anyway if you go anywhere on the actual day. People who only speak to their mums once a year claiming to be son/daughter of the year for their Instagram stories 🙄
  10. If its in line with league games circa 30 quid, i think i paid 29 in the league, possibly more than that last season.
  11. I don't have good memories at Bramhall Lane, in fact I don't think I've seen up win there.that includes the pasting this season, the season wrecking loss last season a a cup defeat jn the 90s. The bad news is that I'll be going though 😕
  12. Every chance looking at the team Sheff Utd are putting out!
  13. 30 odd years following this famous old club and last night is up there in my top 5 away days, absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Also managed to get us a striker in......
  14. I think it's set up perfectly for a win. Although we may have 1 eye on the play offs, they must definitely have both eyes on their precarious league position, they have a huge game against Southampton at weekend which will absolutely take priority you'd have thought. Looking forward to it, another ground ticked off. The King Power looks a bit better than Filbert Street, you were practically below pitch level in that tatty old away end!
  15. It's no coincidence the change up in playing style is since Thomas came in if you ask me..
  16. Preston at home WAS clueless, there's no 2 ways about it. Burnley away was horrendous, but the way they are rolling most teams over that's more inevitable. Wigan at home was awful, Rotherham away absolutely shocking. No manager is above criticism and he's got some games badly wrong it's as simple as that.
  17. Perhaps an element of complacency in the first teamers? I hold my hands up and say I've slated JDT a few times, what I will say though is the way he uses the reserves and even bcd games is superb, better than I've ever known it.
  18. It's bonkers that 2 of our best players at the moment, Pears and JRC wouldn't even be here if we'd got a few signings in! Fair bloody play to the both of them.
  19. Love this about him, he's definitely getting a red card at some point this season though!
  20. I reckon we would have a serious chance of promotion if we had Gyokeres, great player.
  21. New manager or not, their strikers have been goal shy (ring any bells?). Can GA get 34 year old Martin fired up? Lowe can be decent on his day, I'd be disappointed if we can't keep both at bay though. Chair is the biggest threat IMO if utilised correctly. I'm going for an ambitious 2 nil away win, don't think GA had had enough time to get his feet under the table. Dolan again and a rare Travis goal. Todays game feels quite pivotal, much like the sheff utd game last season, i think that oje killed us off. Let's hope we can at least keep this play off dream alive a bit longer
  22. Well the boy listener, lovely finish for the goal, great pass from Thomas too. Trav, Brittain, Hyam and Szmodics the pick of the bunch tonight, good win and a better performance all round. Would have been nice to bang a couple more goals in but mustn't grumble too much.
  23. Dolan needs to be 'braver on the ball' to coin a JDT phrase. At the weekend he went on a couple of good runs with the ball and their defence looked terrified, sadly the end product was lacking but I have faith in him.
  24. That's one of the weirdest penalty decisions I've ever seen, thought Leonard was getting sent off 😳
