I don't think it's an unpopular opinion at all, certainly most people I know don't really rate Travis. Unfortunately we're not blessed with many midfielders who can tackle, he can, but he's often quite childish about it and picks up many bookings he could have avoided, he's not a young kid anymore. Dack or Hyam are much more suited to the captaincy. To play the way JDT want to, we need 2 midfielders who can both tackle and pass. Morton sometimes picks out good passes but can't tackle to save his life and is more likely to be an asset in the prem than the championship. I keep banging on about giving JRC a shot in midfield now Brittains back but he's touch and go fitness wise for today.

See this my concern with Leonard being unleashed. Vale right now can't be high on confidence at all, he could end up the same. I know Vale is being completely dismissed by some on here, but is there more to it? I don't watch the reserves games unfortunately but I'm assuming they don't play a similar style to the first team? MLS season runs from end of Feb to October, not sure how that would be a viable option for him, unless they can just do a deal till the prem season ends.
