  1. Yep. Apart from when we play Burnley and more people cram in the end towards the Darwen end so they can shout and point aggressively at that lot from down the road.
  2. I'd pay anything up to £35 personally, but everyone's different. Given the prices I've paid at away games so far this season Wigan isn't particularly expensive. The problem is other factors are kicking in for this one. We played pretty gash Saturday just gone, if we'd won 4-0 I'm willing to bet we'd have shifted up to another 1k tickets. People are willing to pay a bit more if we're likely to win. There's no novelty whatsoever to going to Wigan either, I'm sure everyone's been there numerous times in recent years, in contrast to Burnley for example who I guess were playing them for the first time in a while. On a flip side i know some people who are trying to get a few away games in with one eye on Burnley tickets so that may play a part. I'm not going but it's purely because my other half is working and I'm not palming my kids off to grandma for the day when I've been most games this season anyway!
  3. We've been in the same stand before? It never kicked off big style though really. The segregating door got booted through one year but even then it was just booze getting thrown at each other, much like at Blackpool last week. You don't really see widespread disorder in football grounds these days, just a lot of shouting and gesticulating. But yes you're right it would probably just be easier to give us the whole stand.
  4. Burnley result aside they're having a good start to the season, coupled with us being poor yesterday and our awful record at Wigan it's hard to see a positive result I'm afraid. Suspect our away following will have taken a hit because of yesterday too.... We've got to draw one at some point so I'll go for a 1-1 in the interest of positivity.
  5. You're not often right, but bravo on this occasion 🤣 Stanley have Bowland Brewery, as did burnley last year. Not sure about them this season, probably just sisters love gush on tap.
  6. In fairness if you're drinking dark fruits you probably do sit down wees. No on a serious note though, hospitality on any level is absolutely fucked. There's no way on planet earth that these energy price rises cannot be passed off without price increases on drinks, food, the lot. If it wasn't for Rovers I'd genuinely consider feckimg off elsewhere
  7. I'm afraid you're a bit puddled then, it's well known that's why they signed him
  8. It tells you nothing at all about ability. He was signed to make up their homegrown quota and has made 1 appearance in about 4 years 🤣
  9. There was yep
  10. 2009 was when Andy Porters masterplan of invading cherry tree fell flat on ite face and many of them got jail time and banning orders. The writing was on the wall after that and they were never gonna ease restrictions for some time. Yes the cup game at Ewood was the last time we were allowed to attend restriction free. I recall the dingles tried all sorts of ways to avoid detection including getting off the train at Rishton and walking en masse to Ewood.
  11. Buckley needs to turn the glimpses of being a quality player to something a lot more consistent now. Let's hope the healthy competition in midfield now spurs him on a bit. Glad to see GB getting stuck into the contract situation now, he's starting to make his stamp on things.
  12. What's actually wrong with Ayala, I can't remember seeing anything? I'd be going for the same as Wednesday assuming no change on injury status, but if Dolan does nowt first half get Hirst on at the break and let's see what we're working with. Bristol have some good options in attack and a clean sheet here would be a real achievement, they're yet to win or keep a clean sheet on the road though. It's all pointing towards a good game with goals at both ends. 3-1 home win
  13. The performances weren't good, but it was clearly more than just a case of being 'utter shite'. A young player bereft of any confidence whatsoever, feeling that he was letting the fans down. Look at his entire demeanour now, that beaming smile is a joy to see and I'm looking forward to it for the next few months at least.
  14. Can't believe the genuine disappointment from some that Brereton is still here, maybe I'm biased though as I was pretty much the only member in the Brereton fan club when times were tougher. I presume Gus Williams has started full time now as he was due to join in August properly. The brief for him is simple now, find our new Brereton or preferably 2 of them!
  15. Gallagher wins a lot of aerial duals, stats will tell you this. However, it usually has no end result. I watched a bit of Hirst on YouTube (yeah I know) and he bagged a few headers for Pompey last season. Always useful having some height in the team when you're chasing a game and racking up corners or defending a lead and the inevitable corners.
  16. Both big lads aren't they? Glad we've added a bit of height. Literally no idea on either player so they basically start with a blank canvas for me and let's see how they get on.
  17. You're probably reading too much into it. You can tell that he's absolutely had enough of the Brereton questions every bloody interview now, man just wants to talk about games rather than transfers
  18. How good is the Adam/Scotty Wharton chant? What a horrendous setup with the turnstiles first of all though, beyond amateur. As for the bottle throwing muppets at half time? Why oh why. As for the match, absolutely superb and just what we needed. Let's not forget they have scored 6 in their last 2 games. Barely had a sniff tonight.
  19. People have shocking memories, I'd love to see the reaction the day we signed Samba
  20. Where on earth has Barkleys name come from? 🤣 Busy few days ahead, can only hope Gregg doesn't have to jump through too many additional hoops trying to get stuff over the line. I guess we'll know come 7pm where we stand on Brereton (if not before) when the team news is out. I sincerely hope Hirst isn't lined up as a replacement though, not against him signing as it would be nice to have a striker who can head a ball, only if he's in addition to Brereton/a new signing with the cash though.
  21. Thank you. I know st Anne's Road was looking earlier and you can park on the Premoer Inn just off there for 4 quid
  22. Anyone recommend somewhere decent to park for our designated driver? I know various places in Blackpool but never driven specifically for football....
  23. Having a basic grasp of FFP isn't towing the party line ffs. Right so Wolverhampton Wanderers last had a average attendance of over 28 thousand fans in the championship, do you need me to go on?
  24. Prepared to spend or able to spend? Because that's the situation. I'm 100% not defending them for a second let me make that clear. Of course they should spend on stadium maintenance, it's no coincidence that crackpot owners like the Glazers have left Old Trafford to rot too, same at Birmingham amongst others. On the basis they never visit, who's actually flagging up things like this though? Travelling to grounds up and down the country its bizarre how many other grounds need sprucing up too.
  25. Yeah can't stand Parker, although they've given him an impossible task with their transfer activity (or lack of).
