Not sure about that, he scored some decent goals last season. He actually reminds me of Brereton in some aspects of his style of play too, quite awkward for defenders to play against. He's a risk though given the track record of a fair few Italian imports, but Brereron would also have been a risk. Believe they want Broja too who's slightly more tested after last season

Van Hecke has had some game time for Brighton in pre season and has impressed Potter by all accounts. He hasn't fully discounted sending him out on loan though. IF and its a big IF he's made available, you'd expect it to be late business but you'd expect us to be at the front of the queue (if indeed JDT/Broughton want him)

As I said yesterday Wigans first choice right back is also their captain, are they gonna strip him of the armband to fit Nyambe in or is he going to be a bench man? OR a centre half I guess. Sadly I don't see him making much of an impact and continuing with his dodgy hamstrings. I genuinely hope to be wrong though and hope he does well for himself. Why are people writing Brown off as being shite? Purely because of where he signed from? I don't think anyones actually seen him play enough to form a solid opinion, he seemed OK at Birmingham in his one championship appearance. He may well turn out to be shite, I just can't get my head round how people are stating it as fact at this stage though!
