  1. Gibbs-White is injured and on loan at Sheffield United?
  2. Biggest deadline day in many years I reckon, buckle up folks. Much more at stake for this one than previously...
  3. Edun will be out for a while by the sounds of it, Pickering seems way off a return still so we've actually got no left backs as it stands. Giles would be a welcome addition
  4. I'd welcome him with open arms, not sure he's gonna play the Rothwell role though. I did notice watching their game yesterday he was out with a 'back injury' much like Mr Rothwell 🤥
  5. Dack even when fit is nothing like Rothwell in his style of play, I know he's been out for a while but still 🤣
  6. I know that 🙄 they're unlikely to be available to talk to give their seal of approval on a deal at 4 in the morning their time is my point.
  7. Surely the owners have to rubber stamp any deals though? They're like 5 hours in front so perhaps we've got a little less time to get sorted. Hopefully we're very active tomorrow...
  8. You've got to be happy with that result in the circumstances, christ it wouldn't even have been a complete disaster with a fully fit team! They beat Bournemouth there the other week and drew with Fulham not long before. Having Diaz back will obviously add a dimension and he's no doubt got a spring in his step after getting back on the scoresheet. Hopefully the injuries aren't too bad, what actually happened to Gally as I'd nipped in the kitchen and missed it? Believe he was coughing up blood? Have I made it up or has that happened with him previously 🤔 Thank christ we've no game midweek though, we need a few extra days to get a few players back fit and of course hopefully bed a couple of new signings in. Monday is huge, please don't screw this up......
  9. Fuck him, he's not irreplaceable
  10. Aye true and if people want to lap it up so be it. No need to really try and slag Sharpe off though, he posts accurate information in his articles/tweets etc though. Of course he knows more than he let's on but he has a relationship with the club to maintain.
  11. What should he do then? Start posting bollocks on here like the rest who have no idea but claim to have all these sources?
  12. So it's gone from JRC chat, to Rothwell meltdowns, to dick measuring from people claiming to have sources 🤣 Reel it in ffs there's 1, maybe 2 on here who EVER come up trumps.
  13. 1 nil win for me. Luton have conceded at least one goal in their last 6 at home. 3 of our last 4 away we've managed a clean sheet. Unfortunately that bloody Hull game isn't forgotten about just yet and we know we've always got one of them performances in us (like most clubs around us too). Zeefuik to smash one in the top corner after a mazy run following his introduction in the 65th minute 💙🤍
  14. Yeah he sounds like one hell of a ridiculous bullshitter.
  15. Come on down Christian Eriksen 🥳
  16. The topic is going way off tangent again.... It's ridiculous for anyone who watches purely first team games to say JRC is better than Nyambe though, purely on the basis he hasn't even played enough! He only made his debut in 2020, played a few good games and got in the efl team of the week, then injured again and again. He's obviously highly rated by people within the club who have seen a lot more of him so we can only really trust their judgement, especially since Joe bucked the trend and signed a contract last year.... We can't even say for sure that he's pencilled in to contest the RB/WB spot with Nyambe anyway, that's possibly more why he brought Zeefuik in. The Hull game we had little choice but to play him there, but its also highly likely Nyambe picks up up knock or a hammy strain before the the end of the season. We know TM loves a utility man who can play a few different positions, he also alluded to the players coming in this transfer window to fit that criteria as well.
  17. What if the 3 contract rebels have agreed new contracts with us 'in principle'. 3 absolutely top notch contracts are on the table under 1 condition, that we're in the top flight next season, otherwise they walk away for free....added to this promotion bonus that's seemingly up for grabs. Not completely beyond the realms of possibility is it?! If we were floundering in mid table the situation would no doubt be very different....
  18. Yeah a few strikers would be good too... Do the academy goalkeepers fall under Benson, I wasn't sure? He's not particularly highly rated is he if so.
  19. No point in going over and over the contract situation, if we want to offer more to players we simply need to get promoted or add another 10k to the attendance every week 🤨 Also on the subject of goalkeepers and Pears being shite, is it not time our academy started knocking a few decent ones out? That's who we should be looking to for backup instead of attempting so sign back up.....
  20. Alright don't flatter them too much, West Brom didn't even register a shot on target, they were dreadful. They play us in another 3 games, unfortunately they'll probably have a new manager by then so may start playing a little better.....
  21. Did Kipre reject us for West Brom? Genuinely can't remember what happened now with that one. Either way, it's worked out OK for us going off his performance tonight 😳 Hot on the heels of Obafemi last night who's done nothing at Swansea since we 'missed out'. Although he did have one chalked off last night. Fully expect Burke to do shite too... Ismael will be out of a job I think soon, Preston just went 2 up....
  22. Wonder if we could prise Lewis Dobbin away from Everton with a cheeky loan bid, looks like he's gonna sign a new contract which will rule a permanent out. Similar situation to Markanday, not getting much of a look in for the first team much to many fans annoyance.
  23. Something doesn't sit right with Butterworth. I remember early season, it may even have been the first game when he came on as a second half sub. He was brilliant, running at the opposition with pace. He then went on to barely feature, even when we were struggling at times. Then as other has said looked really sluggish the other night. I know he's had injury problems, is he now scared to push himself as he doesn't want to do a hammy? One particular incident stood out where he basically gave up trying to claim a ball that trickled out for a throw, I reckon at my tender age of 40 I'd easily have got to it. You'd expect young players to be busting a gut, running themselves in the ground every time they get a chance at the first team...
  24. What if I told you Sam Gallagher was the most successful player on the pitch for aerial duels on Monday.... 12/20 won. Next closest was Crooks for them. It's a bit of a myth that he's shite in the air, BUT I will also say that yes I'm sure he could absolutely be better. It's almost as though he's a bit worried about getting clouted sometimes. He isn't strong at all despite his height, his frame is best described as gangly. If he works on his muscle mass he's gonna struggle, a lot, to work his socks off for 90 minutes like he did Monday. The above are factors in why he's playing in the championship though and not a higher level, simple as that - otherwise he'd basically be a much paler Didier Drogba.....
