Whilst I have respect for you and the other FF members who attend these meetings do you not feel it is simply staged managed box ticking by the club and literally everything is about deflecting away from the real issue, Venkys. Assuming a meeting is now arranged it will surely be fantastic new manager, get behind the lads for the play off push, ticket "offer" for the last few home games and everything else Swag will "have a look into" when the season ends ?

Completely underwhelmed by the appointment and as others have said we fish in the pond of cheap and desperate both for players and now a manager. The managed decline continues unabated and of course 4001 Adult Season Tickets is the target Waggott will have set himself for 2025. NOTHING will improve until Venkys are gone.

If as expected we end this transfer window with low cost/grade squad fillers (at best) then can I call upon the members to consider making some sort of protest at the next fans forum meeting. Lets face it what the fans are being drip fed by Waggott et al is a long way from the reality and A The fans deserve better and B To sit there and have your intelligence insulted defies belief. I accept the members of the fans forum will have differing opinions but I think a large scale refusal to engage with the club which can then be fed to social media, local news outlets may be a route to finally getting some questions answered. Could I suggest:- 1. Members simply refuse to attend, offer apologies and provide an open letter to explain there absence or 2. Members attend and walk out as soon as Waggott opens his mouth leaving an open letter to explain why With the greatest of respect the FF members have an opportunity to create some waves here and no matter what else is on the agenda the managed decline of our club surely has to be your only focus on this particular occasion.

January Transfer window
rossyste replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I am told by a friend of mine who works in a back office role at Fulham that we have been asking (with several others) about the availability of Martial Gobo. Apparently we enquired in the summer and were knocked back but he has since signed a new long term contract and can go out on loan only. I have no idea which of our lists he appears on (if any) and had never heard of the lad until about an hour ago ! Please don't shoot the messenger -

January Transfer window
rossyste replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I do feel the upcoming January transfer window represents a watershed moment for our beloved club. John Eustace is clearly getting the best out of our squad and his managerial stock is no doubt on the rise. I assume like most managers he will feel that whilst he is being backed he will continue but lets be honest attractive managerial vacancies will pop up early in the new year and that's the test Venkys I feel will fail. The window represents a realistic opportunity to bring in 2-3 additions to add depth and who knows where the season may end. I am not suggesting 10-12 Million will magically appear but if we spent a third of that it would give us the best chance in years to at least make the play offs. I fear a couple of cheap loans will probably mean when injuries kick in we fade into mid table and all the momentum is lost. I hope I am proved wrong and of course its the hope that kills you. -

Many thanks for these updates, in my opinion the modest number sold in Phase 2 would have been completely dwarfed (a few hundred) with continued Stage 1 pricing. There are always a number of people who leave things to the last minute, are they really going to buy at Stage 3 prices ? -

It was initially a completely condescending response which to an average fan like myself reinforces my belief that organised supporters groups can appear to the rest of us as self appointed "super fans" who simply pander to the inane ramblings of Waggott et al -

The ridiculous Phase 2 finishes in 19 days to be replaced by the Hideous Phase 3, the trickle will become a dribble. Kids pricing they got right, adults pricing completely wrong. Probably end up with a nominal increase in numbers which will have generated lower income. They have no understanding at all of the Rovers fanbase. Transfer ambition is the delusional bit. -

So no extension to the early bird then ? A weeks extension would have caught another pay day for many so would surely have tempted a few more now left with the ludicrous price increase or not to bother at all. But hey ho they are doing all that they can and obviously have a great understanding of the Rovers fanbase. -

And that in a nutshell is why a £30 reduction (before a massive hike) isn't really setting the pulses racing. -

I am one of those people who left in 2012 not down to anything Rovers related but due to some difficult personal circumstances. Thankfully those are all now gone and I would like to return and I have wanted too for a good few years. I will not however do so until the club has moved away from it's managed decline overseen from afar by the odious Venkys and shamelessly played out locally by Waggott et al . I have nothing but respect for the hardcore still attending Ewood but the club is a rotting corpse of what it was when it was sold by the Walker family. I have many other interests but could easily fit in Rovers home games despite the daft kick off times we face these days. I still watch on TV nearly every game and still get the Rovers buzz, the way I look at it now is it saves me trudging back to the car in the rain and saves me a few quid, it isn't quite the same though as a vibrant Ewood Park is it. I just want the club to hit the reset button and offer some genuine incentive to get bums on seats, like many others have said other local clubs have added thousands to there season ticket numbers and yet we just plod along taking the regulars for granted. I can't be a part of that no matter how it hurts. For context I ain't no glory hunter. I was 11 when I attended Bury away in April 1980 and am a veteran of Moscow, Trelleborgs, Warsaw , Lyon ,Leverkusen as well as Full Members Cup nights at places like Vale Park and league games at Southend and Bath (Bristol Rovers) ! My last engagement with BRFC was in April 2018 when I bought two tickets for what turned out to be promotion night at Doncaster. I returned them a week before the game as I felt someone attending Ewood regularly deserved them more than me. I watched it on TV instead. I bleed Blue and White, I hate Burnley, I hate Venkys and I hate the shameless puppet Steve Waggott. It's the hope that kills you, I just hope things change some day soon..... -
No need to worry lads, its the International break after this weekend so Gregg will be providing his much anticipated overview of the January "transfer" window ( delayed to focus our attention to onfield matters !) . No doubt it will appease anyone of a happy clappy disposition but for the rest of us provide a "strategic" overview of what our budget will look like in League 1. DRAIN THE SWAMP

The other thing to remember is S4C have rights to broadcast certain Welsh teams games in the FA Cup. With a big away support this has got strange early kick off time written all over it.

No idea what the pricing rules are for the FA Cup but Swag will smell the cash from 7-8000 away fans aka Leeds…hope he keeps it real.

Hanson Cup - Can you help?
rossyste replied to Riversider28's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Two of the previous Hanson Cup winners I can see are from the Liverpool area so that looks a good area to focus on. There are a couple of threads that Google throws up on Facebook when you type in "Hanson Cup Winners"...old photos etc. I would imagine someone on there could assist. I hope you get the information you are looking for. -
Surely we can look beyond cheap out of work managers ? My view is if we can spend 12 million on two misfiring strikers we can ring PNE up and ask to speak to Alex Neil. IMO our squad is at least as good as there's and he can clearly get the best out of them.

[Archived] Benni Mccarthy - Gone

I have been contacted by a corporate club sponsor who tells me benni has agreed to join chelsea on a 3 year contract at 80k per week............fee in the region of 7 million.............hope its wrong but the source is someone I have always found honest and trustworthy. -
Watching neills antics can only send negative vibes to his team mates and fans alike, what do the likes of nolan and derbyshire make of their captains goal celebrations ?? neill has been a good servant to the club but is now taking the ###### out of us all,he should be dropped and sold asap...........much rather see a committed player of any ability than someone who is clearly protecting himself.Only ever criticised hughes once before when he played oijjer against chelsea..... this situation is the second !!!!!
