I am of the opinion that any negative reaction by the fans towards Ferguson will only serve to weaken our position. If the board reject his transfer request as expected, I am sure he will understand why. I am convinced he was expecting Rangers to make a serious offer for him. There is little point in hanging onto him if he will not receive the support of the fans. The midfield pairing of Savage and Ferguson has real potential. Don't stop this from happening.

Rangers had to pay over the odds for Hendry. Rovers didn't want him to go. They had to make an attractive offer to prise him from our hands. If Rangers really want Ferguson, they will have to do likewise.

I looks like Matteo is Sparky's first choice for left back. When he's available, he's in the side. He seems to have put out the strongest available side in respect of all the other positions, so I don't see why he would be resting Johansson.

From the radio commentary, it sound as though a diagonal ball was sent into the box by Thompson, which Gallagher nearly got on the end of. Gallagher's presence was enough to put off the keeper, and it bounced between Gally and the keeper and drifted straight in. Flukey, they said.
