  1. Did I read this right? You think we are going to invest what’s needed to progress this summer? What part of the previous 15 years has made you think that? I know you don’t know how much money precisely as none of us do, I’m asking you what your opinion is? A ball park figure? I’d suggest if we need 9 new championship players we would need to invest a minimum of £15 million. I would be personally be astounded if we do that but maybe you know better than me.
  2. Pleased for the players second half. Effort was clearly there and deserved the point. Cantwell, Ohashi and Tronstad stepped up. Might save Ismael I suspect and I’m sure Pasha et al will be relieved, but players and dare I say Ismael deserve some credit for that second half performance as I don’t think anyone saw that coming.
  3. That was one of the better first halves under VI. Kept them out for many minutes there 👍
  4. How much do you reckon a team would need to invest to sign 9 players of championship standard? How much would a team need to invest to sign 9 players who are good enough to challenge for promotion? I suppose looking at last year’s reported spend of £4.5 million would be the most reliable estimate of our budget and I’m not clear if that includes wages/agents fees etc. 9 players with a budget like that relies on some spectacular scouting and a lot of luck. Of course we don’t know what the budget is next season but in your opinion is it likely that we are going to invest the money that’s required to progress?
  5. Well it’s finally here. The one we’ve all been waiting for. The doldrum derby. 2 historic teams decimated foreign ownership vying for mid-table mediocrity. The loser takes it all. If you can’t get excited for nights like this then you must be a little dead inside.
  6. The club/Ismael peddling this idea that the summer rebuild is somehow exciting is so disingenuous. How many million would we need to invest to completely rebuild and be competitive next season? 20 million minimum I would think. Considering we haven’t spent more and a million on a player for years this will never happen and a rebuild on a shoestring is what we can expect. Avoiding relegation would be a miracle. Who are the youth players that are ready to fill some of the gaps next season? Journalists need to ask these questions. This is more an evisceration than a rebuild and you’d have to be utterly stupid to buy into their faux enthusiasm.
  7. How dumb are people? Being at a football match is your own time. People are paying to be there!
  8. Developing youth is a noble cause, but for next season do we actually have any younger players who are likely to break through? Surely this is a key question for Rudy!
  9. NAPM seems like the obvious next step, such is rot that has set in. ‘No nay never’ is the obvious tagline.
  10. I’m conflicted about this. Not sure whether I’m annoyed that him leaving derailed our slim promotion hopes or grateful for the heat it’s put on the owners/stooges.
  11. Employing a manager who plays a completely different style of football when you’re sat in the Playoffs in February is either sabotage or incompetence
  12. I just can’t stand them. What are they getting out of this? We despise them and they don’t like football.
  13. We are basically playing without a striker now
  14. I don’t suppose it really matters, but taking Gueye off is ridiculous.
  15. ALLEZ LES BLEURGH Great effort by the fans who have attended! Keep it up! This is what a team that’s been invested in looks like against our ragtag bunch. Eustace was performing literal miracles! I think the players are trying, they are just not good enough and it’s humiliating. Chronic underinvestment is coming home to roost.
  16. Haven’t we beaten these guys away twice this season under Eustace??
  17. Surely Ismael can’t be in control over the summer? I honestly don’t think I could cope with that. Should be 3-0. Genuinely hopeless.
  18. I’m maybe being too hopeful, but I can see a shift in the way Waggott answered questions relating to the ownership. Previously the answers have always been very definitive with statements suggesting the club is absolutely not for sale and that the club is the owners baby blah blah blah. This time Waggott appears less sure saying that they have not been asked to seek investment and he has even gone as far as to say every team is potentially for sale with the right offer. I think there may have been a shift in their thinking…I’m clinging to this anyway!
  19. Maybe he wowed Waggott with his knowledge of budget coach rental in the northwest.
  20. You probably can’t extract too much meaning from manager interviews, but there is a complete lack of any substance in all his interviews. He just uses words like needing more ‘belief’ or ‘confidence’ and say we need to shoot and defend basically. You don’t need to be a football genius to work that out! I noticed similar on the behind the scenes training video from his time at Watford. He basically just shouted ‘intensity’ a few times. It surprises me that he outwitted 149 other candidates.
  21. Surely even this lot won’t leave the summer rebuild to Valerian root? He has to go. Let the groundsman take the team until the end of the season. That’s if we haven’t sacked the groundsman to pay for Waggott’s sports car.
  22. I’d argue that they still haven’t turned up!
  23. A single win against any of the dross we’ve played and we’d only be 2 points off the playoffs. Utterly pathetic.
