[Archived] Blackburn 1- 3 Newcastle
Ray-Von replied to ihtd's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Its about time the Rovers managements stopped the practice of putting away fans in the executive boxes of the lower BBE. Its been going on for a while, and it came perilously close to kicking off in a major way on Saturday. There's nothing worse than being goaded by a load of ######-up corporate free loaders. Get it sorted Mr. Williams. -
Jan and TNDR could turn into Blackburn's version of the old Harry Enfield character "I am considerably richer than yeow!"

[Archived] Greatest 100 Players Of All Time

Neekoy, have you prepared that list yourself? Some good shouts there, but i'm surprised Souness hasn't been mentioned. He was (imo) the best Bristish midfielder of the early to mid 80's. Much better than the over-rated Hoddle and injury prone Robson. -
[Archived] "impossible" Rovers- Question
Ray-Von replied to petter_rovers's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
If I remember rightly, Richard Brwon played in the game when we thumped Norwich 7-1 but didnt feature a great deal at all after that. Most of his games came in the promotion season at right back. -
[Archived] "impossible" Rovers- Question

He had a half-decent song based on the "Banana Splits" tune though........ -
Eddie, could you PM me your gamer tag so we could possibily arrange something? Its all up and running for me, I was amazed at how easy it was for a luddite like me!

Freddy Eastwood? Well his re-location costs would be fairly reasonable at the bottom of Whinney Hill. -
This is a good link http://www.xboxlivetheguide.co.uk/

Hi Eddie, just in the process of setting up live, but the only games I have are PES 6 and the new Call of Duty game. Will post on here when its sorted.

Do you think BRISA could arrange any marriage guidance/assertiveness training for Euro Aways?

Seems like a recurring theme....I got the old "you could have gone you know" last night when we were talking about her brother, who had just set off. Easy in hinsight isn't it?....................

[Archived] Upcoming 360 Games
Ray-Von replied to Shevchenko's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football Archive
For the extra seventy quid or so Matt, its not even worth the debate. I think the memory pack things are about twenty quid or so anyway. The wireless controller you get with the premium pack is great, I think you only get a wired one with the basic pack. I bought a great bundle from Gamelast week when COD 3 came out; Premium pack, PES6, Project Gotham and COD 3 plus an extra controller for £135.00. Ii'm yet to sort out the Live connection but on the basis of what ive seen I would certainly recommend one. My only minor gripe is that its bloody noisy. -
Or an Only Fools and Horses episode.

Remember it well. Villa had a cracking team with the likes of Alan McInally, and those really cool Hummel Shirts similar to the ones that Denmark had in the 80's. Interestingly, an unknown by the name of David Platt scored on his debut for Villa.
-
Add "massive club" City to that list.
-
Seconded.

Quick question Fife - when you lived around East Lancs, did all the locals support Rovers, or did teams from places such as Manchester or Liverpool get a look in? I'm guessing thats one of the main reasons that attendances have slumped so dramatically over the last 40-50 years given people in United/Liverpool shirts is pretty common place these days.
-
Are you being serious?
-
No problem Paul, I was just pointing out the usual dingle lunancy about the size of their support when they had home gates of less than 2,000 a year before.
-
I was referring to Burnley's appearance at Wembley in 1988 against Wolves.
-
To put Rovers recent ticket offers into perspective, Accy Stanley are playing Blackpool in the Sherpa Van/Autoglass/MickeyMouseTrophy that we took 40,000 to Wembley in 1988 (delete as applicable if you are a Burnley fan.) Ticket prices? 13.00 standing, 15.00 seats.
