  1. Hayden Carter scored again last night for Burton. He's been an ever present since going on loan in January - 18 games, 12 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats. He's scored 4 himself and the defence with him in it have conceded only 10.
  2. Probably the weirdest reason for a fixture to be moved for this game. It was originally scheduled to be at Hove but they have an infestation of daddy longlegs on the outfield!
  3. Clearly the Forum is meant as a consultative body so there is no real power, but it is an opportunity to raise issues and to regularly question the club's senior management. Over time we have had some influence on the decisions the club made, for example on the introduction of the unreserved seating (aka standing) area in the Darwen end. The meeting to talk about next year's season tickets next week came about from a discussion at the January FF meeting. We could go down one of two ways - be confrontational and shout and bawl or try to discuss in a reasonable manner. I get the impression that many posters on here would want us to take the former approach, but i can assure them all that all that will lead to is the cessation of the meetings. Is it ideal - no. Would I like it to be a meeting of equals where we could genuinely effect change - yes. But that's only going to happen at a fan-owned club and even then I suspect that actual power in that situation would still sit with appointed executives rather than fans in general.
  4. Rev - there is a tab called More. Follow that and the link to fans and the Fans Forum is under there.
  5. I've hesitated to comment on the comments of the last few days regarding the Fans Forum on this and the FF thread, as it usually generates more hot air and is rarely productive. But this time I've bitten. These are the items we had on the March agenda: - 1. Brockhall Planning Application 2. Fan Re-engagement Plan & 2021/22 Season Tickets 3. Ewood Park Pitch 4. Fans Consultation Meetings 5. First Team Performance 6. Contact with Vulnerable Fans 7. 2019/20 Final Accounts 8. Live Streaming Under 23 Games I guess that the last one was somewhat less important. although it was one that a number of fans had been asking about. Perhaps someone can point out which other ones are trivial?
  6. I know that Forum members have been invited and that there are others too, but I don't know who they are.
  7. There's a meeting happening w/c 12/4/21.
  8. Rotherham’s advantage is that they have 5 relatively easy games coming up - Millwall, Wycombe, Huddersfield, QPR and Birmingham. And they are only 3 points behind Birmingham with 4 games in hand.
  9. As I’ve just written on the Other FL thread he’s not even a regular in Shrewsbury’s team - 3 starts in the last 6 games. BTW - he’s Harrison, not Harold.
  10. He’s not even a regular in Shrewsbury’s starting line up. In the last 6 games he has started 3, in all of which he was substituted. In the other 3 he was on the bench and came on late twice.
  11. It wasn't, although he went down very easily. But Forest were refused a clearly penalty in my opinion.
  12. Lyons has been injured recently as well.
  13. Almost anything can be improved by adding Emmylou Harris Gav.
  14. Carter has scored again for Burton, leading 1-0 at Blackpool.
  15. Hasslebaink’s return to Burton coincided with the club giving him significant budget in January compared to the previous manager. Carter was one of a number of new signings.
  16. 47er - that question was not specifically asked at last week’s Forum but Steve Waggott said that the most important criterion for the development was that Cat 1 status was retained. The Forum minutes are on the club website and there is a link on the Forum thread. One might infer from that that if there was a risk that whatever was done would mean the loss of status then it wouldn’t be done, although many on here would I think not believe that.
  17. Simon - clearly the work that Palace have done to get their new Cat 1 status would also have to be done by the club as well. But he sensible time to do it will be when they have got past proof of concept and they then engage professionals re the design of the new centre but before they start knocking anything down and building again. Doing all that now just means that they risk wasting money if there are problems with the proof of concept application. We didn't ask a specific question about getting advance confirmation of retention of Cat 1 status but we will have plenty of time to ask it at subsequent meetings. All I know is as much as anyone else on here given that there have been plenty of public pronouncements i.e. that the club's position is that the most important thing is the retention of Cat 1 status. It's reiterated in the FF minutes.
  18. Richard - as you say Herbie has already put up a link to them on the club site. If I posted them on the FF thread it would be a huge post (they are 5 pages of A4) which would really mess up this thread.
  19. But Crystal Palace are currently Cat 2 so presumably wanted the reassurance that their new centre would be good enough for an upgrade. And they may already have planning approval. Rovers already have Cat 1 status so have no need to incur costs on designing the new centre until the club has secured proof of concept approval. It would be financially daft to do otherwise.
  20. Bit tricky on Zoom!
  21. There is a strong possibility that there will be third wave of the virus in the Autumn. Whilst it might not be anywhere near as severe as what we have been through given that adults will have been vaccinated by then it could cause some restrictions in movement and big crowds at sports games could be affected. So reduced crowds are a possibility next season.
  22. I think one thing both the EFL and clubs are concerned about is that they suspect a number of fans will be hesitant to return at first no matter what the rules are and they may be looking at a way to keep them engaged until confidence returns. I'd agree however that blanket provision of iFollow to all fans will kill attendances.
  23. The minutes from last Monday’s Fans Forum are now up on the club website.
  24. Simon - my first post was responding to someone asking why there are no detailed plans for the new training centre and I just went on to outline my view that the project is years from any completion and may not happen at all. It wasn't a comment one way or the other on the project's desirability.
