  1. Gresko came on loan and I dont remember anyone complain about him in his first season. In fact if I remember correct everyone was begging Souness to buy him.
  2. As Ive not seen either Ventula, (although my wife has some of his blinds in the bathroom) or Bothroyd (wasnt he in Open All Hours) Im going to follow Bob Flemmings bizarre idea, and wait until Ive seen them play.

    One In, One Out.

As the transfer deadline came to a close at midnight, like a scene from an epic movie, Rovers supporters watched the clock tick down, wondering whether a player who had failed to deliver, for once would move fast enough to find the exit door from Ewood. As soon as news broke that Celtic had been given permission to speak to Dwight Yorke, Rovers supporters searched for any scrap of information to confirm his departure and it soon became evident that Birmingham had matched the offer. As the hands of the clock reached towards midnight, supporters swept the beads of worry off their brows as news broke that that Birmingham had signed Yorke for a substantial but undisclosed fee. The transfer out of Yorke unfortunately over shadowed Rovers surprise signing of former Arsenal and Coventry striker, Jay Bothroyd on a season long loan from Perugia. Breaking the news to the official Rovers web site about the 22 year old Bothroyd, Graeme Souness is quoted as saying. "He's a young player we've been aware of for quite a while. "He has scored goals in Serie A and it's a hard league to score in. We hope to bring out the best in him."
  4. Goals record. Serie A 2003/2004 Perugia 3 Division One 2002/2003 Coventry 7 Division One 2001/2002 Coventry 6
  5. After watching The smiling gnome on Sat, he must think a move up the pecking order is on the cards.
  6. Ste B being optimistic again the sign of a true Rovers supporter.
  7. Unconfirmed at this stage, just a reliable whisper is that MGB has agreed a four-year contract. The fee could rise to £2.5m. subject to a number of clauses. eg appearances, league position
  8. I prefer the latter Modi.
  9. Heck, Norwegian translation of Graeme is. Krislu
  10. At least Strachans post match interviews are good.
  11. Their waiting for Moyes and Coleman.
  12. I believe Roy Keane will miss the game due to injury
  13. Id go with that, or Thompson, anyone apart from the butterfly.
  14. Between the lines its obvious. I never said he would score goals, I said "We hope that he will score many goals for us"
  15. I appreciate that you mean well Krislu. However......... Posting Guidelines. 3, English Only While we do appreciate Rovers have a following all over the world, we ask that all posts are made in English so as not to exclude to majority of users.
  16. No No No, excuses already..... Sky sports. Souness has high expectations for Gamst Pedersen and he is eager to learn if the talented wide man can cope with The Premiership.
  17. Im not calling for heads YET. but the jury is out. We all know the good things that Souness has done for the club, but Im starting to wonder whether he's lost the plot with his team selections, well actually its not a knee jerk reaction, his team selections were questionable last season. There is, dare I say it about someone who was fearless in his playing days, a fear factor in his negative team selections. Apart from Tugay, there is no creative player in the team as I still reserve judgement on Ferguson and De Pedro, who has yet had the oportunity to show his ability. Jolly G stated that Souness cocked up team selection against Southampton in the first half, didnt he do the same thing at HOME against West Brom with a defensive formation for the first half. For some reason, which might be revealed someday he got rid of our most experienced striker, (and Im not a Cole fan) then gives Yorke a second chance because he had been training hard. For Pete sake isnt that what hes paid to do. We then hear rumours (gossip) that Souness has now fallen out with Gallagher, (who was the most prolific scorer in pre season). At the moment Im leaning in the direction of the prosecution, can anyone from the defence lawyers side sway me in another direction, convince me. Where are the goals going to come from. Who is going to create the openings Where has the excitment gone.
  18. oops got my details off radio com, I stand corrected, my appologies. BBC Site. To be honest Im getting more and more frustrated by the team selection. At the moment I couldnt care less who scored, Arsenal got three well deserved goals against a team with no creative ability. I didnt expect a win tonight, but even a blind man with a sack over his head could see the lack of creativety in our team. I have been very patient, but Im getting to the point of no return with Souness's team selection, there are so many things running through my head about the way that he has ripped any creative ability out of the team that I think its best that I let the dust settle before commenting further.

  20. Hey are you writing the script for Souness.
