  1. Nonsense I'm afraid. Dack came back into DM and took over Evans' job in the first half. By the end of the match he was playing CM trying to get his foot on the ball, so starved of service was he. Graham had an absolute shocker tonight, I don't think he won a header. Dack and Armstrong (who I don't particularly rate) had nothing to feed off - every long ball was coming straight back and Evans / Smallwood dally on the ball so long that nothing was coming to feet.
  2. He can't pass the ball to himself. He's making good runs in to the channels, his teammates just aren't used to anyone doing that and are delaying the pass too long - so it's then not on and it looks like he's run down a blind alley.
  3. You are of course joking. Go and look at the gif in this thread, or the highlights on SkySports. Blatant dive and many Rovers players in disbelief that the official has awarded a penalty rather than a yellow card for diving.
  4. We're competing in the Championship after 7 years of neglect. How can you be depressed with that?
  5. Bloody hell, how wasn't that a straight red for the Brereton penalty?!
  6. Mowbray going for a draw then. Started with Conway. Brings on Bennett for Palmer. Trying to shut up shop.
  7. He looked like a player who had barely trained with his teammates. Found himself in good positions quite a lot, but nobody was looking for that pass so he was rather ineffective.
  8. Just one of those games unfortunately. A goal from a FK that never was. Three goals from fortunate deflections. Meanwhile we didn't take our chances. We're never going to challenge for the league, so you brush yourself down, pick yourselves up and move on. Shows the lack of quality in this league if these guys are promotion contenders.
  9. Personally I think this is a fantastic signing and a real statement of intent from Mowbray. Everything I've seen and read about Brereton suggests he's going to be a good PL player in the future. I'm still not quite sure why he's been made available, but I'm delighted that Mowbray has identified the opportunity and, for once, the Venkys have provided him with the means to acquire him.
  10. It's the cup, who cares? The focus should be on staying in the Championship.
  11. Well he's only just turned 19. If a PL club signs him they're only going to loan him back out again - he's not good enough at the moment to start for a team up there. If he does well for us this year, as I assume if we're paying £6m he's going to feature heavily, they'll be sniffing around.
  12. I have to turn off whatever media I'm consuming if Danny Murphy is on it. I genuinely can't stand him - not sure if it's the accent, the face, the Robbie Savage mentality of considering himself a past great or the fact that he's a massive hypocrite due to the above.
  13. We're going to be lucky to finish mid table this year. I wouldn't worry about the 'top teams' coming to town, those aren't really games we're going to be in.
  14. I can, Reading are shit and haven't even tried to attack this half.
  15. The team is so much more balanced with Bennett playing CM. It gives the side some legs in the middle for a start!
  16. Well you only need to look at Nyambe, he can't possible keep this work rate up.
  17. Is it us or them for relegation? Otherwise who cares what Wigan are doing? They're not a rival.
  18. Neither CM is. At least not in this system, the midfield is non-existent. Although that's been the case since Tugay retired.
  19. What a soft goal to concede. That's always been my worry about survival - the defence is poor.
  20. We could buy a new stadium with the shirt sales.
  21. We're a nothing club too at this point. Just making up the numbers.
  22. We're obviously skint. Have been for years. I have a friend who's an Everton fan. It's galling that an absolute nothing club like that is spending £51m on a 21 year old, unproven Brazilian (on top of the countless millions they spent last year) and we can't scrape together a couple of million for a guy who would drastically improve our team.
