I always thought he looked a tidy player in possession, could get about the pitch and wasn't afraid to put a tackle in. He must not have liked Mrs Mowbray's lemon drizzle cake.

He'll get nullified at a higher level. Again I'm one of his biggest proponents on here (like Brereton pre-Diaz), but if you man-mark him with an PL athlete you take 75% of his game away. He's just be forced to run wide into dead ends. His range of passing is good for the Championship, but would be shown up in the PL. Annoyingly he's also a 70 minute man - no idea how that's the case with the amount of training they do, but he's either out of puff at 70 minutes, or has to go hiding for 20 minutes a game to finish the match.

He's cheap because he has zero managerial experience.

I'd be very surprised if Wycombe don't win the final based on what we've just seen.

Watching Evans jog around the centre circle for Sunderland passing backwards and sideways is giving me a warm glow inside. What a nothing player.

I think it'd be a massive PR coup if they did buy the club and returned it's soul... but then I'm not their Head of PR so they'll never do it. Imagine the two Blackburn brothers restoring Rovers to dignity. They'd have the key to the town (albeit they could probably buy the town outright at this point).

We know that's not true - the Championship is nothing special. Wycombe are drilled to within an inch of their life. It would be a shock to the system to our players if Ainsworth signs (he won't).

Same. Realistically Farke should be running into Mowbray at Brockhall as Ol' Tone is clearing out his office. Instead we'll dally and someone else will hire him (and his entire backroom staff who are also currently out of work).

He played him as an AML for a year - it was more than a passing comment that he had a similar build / skill set / level of talent. He didn't turn him into anything - he simply started playing him in his natural position. He was always a CM.
