  1. Oooh good call. No idea if you're right, but it could well be!
  2. I recognise that lot, and the keeper (Kelly), but they're not at the club anymore....which was kinda my point. The hugging guy nearest the camera could indeed be Gally, though I question whether he was in the first team at that time. It could also be Jay
  3. Woah (very Keanu-esque ), how many of those players are still with the team? I don't recognise the guys hugging, so all I can make out is Tugay. Talk about turnover!
  4. There are a lot of qualities I like about Pedersen, but few of those are what I require in a winger. He has little pace, at least not the burst required to get round a player and his crosses can leave a lot to be desired. However, as stated he's an excellent goal scorer who has plenty of qualities that have made him a desired commodity. He can pick out that killer pass, he has a fabulous first touch, he's surprisingly good in the air and his direct free kicks are deadly. I'd be tempted to try him out in central (attacking) midfield - he certainly has the engine for it, and it'd keep keep him in the game more. Out on the left he's allowed to drift out of the game when he feels like it, something a team of our calibre can't afford.
  5. Pretty much his only highlight on MOTD was his attempt to do that to their right back, and failing miserably Is he something to get excited about? Yes and no in my opinion. It's exciting that youth players are breaking into the first team and not looking out of place. However, from what I've seen he's not going to be a world beater - he's going to be a good Premiership winger I feel, but nothing that sets the world on fire.
  6. And we're not accepting the old "well I live in a different country" routine
  7. The attendances are a joke right now, we need those 3k or so floating fans back. I can't believe they've gone to Bolton, European football or not they play some absolute sh!te week in and week out, whereas Hughes is molding the Mighty Rovers into a quality team. Sometimes I just think we don't deserve Premiership football.
  8. The same young Rio Ferdinand who passed it back to James chest high, allowing super Flitty to pounce on the inevitable rebound?
  9. Now that's dedication! I've only got to do a two hour journey today, well an hour and a half if I break the law
  10. This thread has made it pretty clear what those words would be . I'm against the drummer personally, but to be fair to the lad(s) they can get a chant going now and again. Mindless or not, at least everyone can get involved - I've been to a few away games where I didn't have a Scooby what the song was......but that's a different story I suppose, and links back to the fact that beyond a few songs our crowd is very repetitive at home (so I've just shot down my own argument then - good going ER ). It definately should be at the top of BRISA's list of things to do.
  11. Shocking isn't it! Hopefully that UEFA/FA ruling will come through about a certain percentage of your squad/starting 11 having to be from the country you play in.
  12. Well it was said tongue in cheek in reply to your suggestion that all Liverpool need is a brand new attack
  13. I'd say we're one world class winger and striker away from challenging for the top two places
  14. Anyone else notice the excellent editing of Lawro's comments on MOTD?
  15. The Wrexham fans are understandably delighted from what I've read, though calls to sign him up are a little premature
  16. It was pleased to see Cisse go and sit with Smith after all the United players on the pitch turned away in disgust. He's been through it obviously, so that would have helped Smith I'm sure. Either way his compassion for a fellow professional was heartwarming. It's a shockingly bad injury that I called the first time I saw it (just happened to walk into the room when it happened - I've no idea what Lawro was talking about). It's a genuine career threatening and, whatever your opinion of Smith maybe, nobody deserves such a horrific injury. It's only a game after all. I wish him all the best
  17. Then he gets sacked an awful lot, using your analogy
  18. In fairness to the lad he's not even had a sniff this season. Granted he's a DM specialist, but he's exceptional in the role. There have been times this season where I've been begging Hughes to shut up shop and put the Axe in front of the back four. He's failed to do it and I can understand his frustration.
  19. Hughes seems to like him, and he only has to be a decent squad player to stick around under Williams' new plan. This loan move is purely for experience, or our academy truely does blow.
  20. Because the new manager didn't take a fancy to him? Football's about a lot more than just talent, internal politics has a lot to do with it too. Derbyshire was a new bloke the old manager had brought in and the new gaffer either didn't like his style of play, or wanted to make a statement. He scored a hattrick on his debut for Plymouth reserves, and a brace on his debut for Wrexham - there's little more the lad can do to make a good first impression.
