  1. I will say this - whoever scouts for our Academy does a bloody good job. McBride and Nolan stand out in that side - they're both products of other Academies. Seems like a lot of our players are cast offs from elsewhere.
  2. I saw him once when he was a 21 year old in the Academy - he should be bossing the game at that age. You seem to think that everyone is wrong about him and he's a world beater. Good luck to you.
  3. I mean he's 22. He's past being a prospect at this point. I saw him play once for the Academy and he didn't stand out at all. Good luck to him (except at Burnley), but he's clearly not good enough.
  4. Do we have any sort of settled 11 for the Academy? It seems to be a different side every time I see them - with Thompson having disappeared off the face of the earth!
  5. His end product is still poor, but he was a nightmare for Millwall today. Never stopped harrying their back line when out of possession and never shied away from receiving the ball when we had it. He made the wrong decision a fair few times with the ball today (head down, mainly), but I'd be fine with him playing that role again on Tuesday.
  6. By 'individualist' you mean a hugely limited player, right? The free role he's been granted by Mowbray has led to a lot of goals, but that's the only way he's contributing to the team. He was shown up today by an 18 year old winger who was thrown upfront - Dolan linked up more play in 90 minutes than Armstrong has all season.
  7. If ever you needed a personification of how far we've fallen as a club...
  8. I think he's genuinely just that poor a football manager.
  9. I swear he just throws darts at a board to pick his teams. JRC hasn't played for months. Buckley has had like 3 sub appearances all year. Last we heard Gallagher had a broken rib / punctured lung. Throw them in to the starting 11, why not.
  10. Are we going to see Elliott finally dropped today, or are we not allowed to due to the terms of the loan contract?
  11. He wouldn't have got to the Premier League if it wasn't for Ince.
  12. He scored a cracking header against Blackpool in the pre-season. He's also been there for quite a few tap-ins, if teammates would pass. It wont' happen whilst golden boy Armstrong is still here, but he absolutely should get a run at CF. He's the best option we have in the squad.
  13. I genuinely don't think he could walk into the current side - he's not better than Rothwell and Travis imo. I'd take Davenport over him too. I often go through that mental exercise / torture though - "Oh, remember that crap player we had in the Premier League? Yeah, he'd be the best player in our team now". Fun times...😭
  14. I thought Lambert was a fantastic signing at the time - but look at his career since Rovers. He's achieved nothing.
  15. Thrived is generous. Put it this way - I didn't want him back.
  16. Did you notice the cuddle and chat Elliott got from Mowbray when he came off? He didn't even acknowledge Rothwell. Shocking man manager.
  17. And likewise he both gave the ball away (when dropping deeper to try to link up on play) or overhit simple passes that would have put a teammate through on goal (see his pass to Brereton). He is who he is - a very one dimensional, very selfish goal scorer. His all round game is poor - which is why I'm constantly baffled by the PL links. When he's not scoring goals he contributed v little to the side - which we've seen lately.
  18. I'd give Brereton a run there, but that wouldn't be a popular option on here as he's still the worst player evah to some.
  19. I have an irrational hatred of Andrews. It's not his fault that Ince dragged him two leagues above his ability, but his constant pointing whilst contributing nothing of note boiled my piss.
  20. You've clearly seen Evans and Smallwood play. I'd hope you saw Andrews play too.
  21. It's definitely up for discussion. Mowbray has never impressed me tactically - even 4 years into the 'journey' he doesn't know his best 11 and doesn't know the best position for each player. He's also clearly a very poor man manager.
  22. Well if they doctor the pitch again the Venky's will be free by the weekend to make a decision.
  23. You're a glutton or punishment watching that tosser do his post match interview.
