  1. That shot by Armstrong where the keeper saved it with his feet at the near post - Brereton is all all alone on the penalty spot. Awful vision.
  2. Which is puzzling as the scouting report on Wharton was that he had a good range of passing.
  3. When Armstrong was clean through and dived low to his left to save it.
  4. Elliot nearly slid Brereton in - he has goals in him, but he clearly needs a good player to see his runs.
  5. I maintain, whoever's running the tannoy music at half time is having a ball. Bit of Joy Division today. Lovely stuff.
  6. He's a much better fit in the Holtby role - he should be his understudy.
  7. Third time - he's made two really good saves.
  8. This game is showing why I say that Armstrong is a L1 wide player. He's missed a few opportunities to put a teammate in today. He's a head down, run at goal player.
  9. I've just seen a picture of Warren Lucy - let's just say his voice matches his face. Surely we can do better.
  10. It's actually a blessing - Rothwell, Johnson, Buckley is more balance and more in line with what we try to do with Holtby in there. Evans is too limited and too defensive.
  11. Evans injured before the international break - he must be gutted.
  12. With the style of football we play, we HAVE to make a lot of changes. You can't play a midfield 3 with a pressing style twice a week, every week.
  13. Seems at least a level too low for him, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
  14. I'm the last person to defend Mowbray on this board, but unfortunately it's a team game - having 4 internationals on the field doesn't meant much if the other 7 aren't up to much cop! It says a lot about Williams' power in the dressing room / how poor Mowbray thinks he is at LB for him not to start there last night - Rankin-Costello is a talented player, but he's not a FB. He's been rinsed there all season. As for the goal scoring - at the end of the day it's about service and the two wide players in our front three don't receive any. As long as they're contributing assists / holding the ball up, I don't worry how many goals they're scoring themselves. Gallagher is awful though.
  15. Surely this game evens out the Watford and Reading games. They scored with every shot they had.
  16. If he wanted the job he'd have his agent ring Pune. Nobody with any power at Rovers was watching SkySports tonight.
  17. As evidenced by their inability to score tonight. Oh.
  18. We're a poor side too - it's a shit league. Find a comment where I've said anything but that.
  19. Did everyone else see Warnock refuse to make eye contact with Pears at the end when he came over for a fist bump? What a fucking coward. Tells you everything you need to know about the man.
  20. We were watching a different team. Middlesboro only had one route to victory - route one. They SHOULD have scored one of the multiple crosses they had, but they didn't because they're a poor side.
  21. The best part of the night was wiping the smile off that smug bastard's face.
  22. Performance, no. It was diabolical. Result, yes.
  23. The ref was an utter, utter disgrace. Not the first time that we've had a referee of that calibre either.
