Saadi, Harlock, Nolan, McBride and Burns should all be in and around the squad from the little I've seen of the U23s and how weak our bench is week in and week out. Stuff Clarkson and Poveda. van Hecke I'll reserve judgement on - but he shouldn't get game time over Carter and Wharton.

Nothing side from a nothing town. Their RL attendances are an absolute joke and they contribute nothing to that sport either.

If I was giving him the benefit of the doubt I'd argue that it stinks of guaranteed playing time for loanees. Personally I just think he's a terrible manager.

When I saw Clarkson play against our U23s last year he didn't stand out (they mentioned he was a Blackburn fan, which is why I noticed him at all). I was flabbergasted when we loaned him in.

Both looked poor in CM for mine. Surely we have better in the Academy?

Yes. I would rather have a fullback, even if he's a left back, come on as a replacement for Nyambe than bring on a very poor CB and switch formation to 3 at the back.

Edun is a left back too - surely a better option than Magloire and a formation change.

Huddersfield defender gave the ref a decision to make - dove in. Wouldn't have been a penalty 15 years ago, but often is now.

Book all of the Huddersfield players that are crowding you, ref.

What have you got against Rothwell? We're a much worse team without him.

Not surprising. I thought we could nick the title - obviously Yorkshire (and to a lesser extent Somerset) stuffed us there, but this isn't a particularly strong Lancs team. The conditions are obviously ridiculous as we're playing at the end of September, but I do wonder how up for this meaningless game Lancashire are.

That was his problem on Saturday - he didn't rely on his size. He got drawn into a boxing match - more fool him.

Why wouldn't it be? They've ripped the heart and soul out of the club.

From a friend of a friend who's seen their accounts - I think everyone they've owed money to over the years has had their pound of flesh. I don't think they had much left to put away - and obviously this new ownership deal has them over a barrel financially.
