  1. Not as good as the goal Torres scored against us years ago, but there's not much the defence or the keeper can do to stop that.
  2. He seems to be switching with Downing.
  3. Unfortunately he's a poor athlete. When he has the ball at his feet he doesn't look half bad.
  4. Evans is crap. Holtby and Rothwell couldn't get a game for half a season. Revisionist history, much?
  5. So Mowbray has spent a bloody fortune at this level, and 10th is a massive achievement because we've lost one player? Time to go.
  6. Mowbray shouldn't be given the opportunity to form a squad for 2020/2021. He's failed and should be removed from his post.
  7. Being given 7 minutes when chasing the game isn't 'chance after chance'. As much as I think Brereton is now a bust, he's been set up for failure by Mowbray. He gets 10 minutes, at most, when he deigns to bring him on. Graham is still by far our best striker - no idea why he's been frozen out.
  8. Anyone could be a football manager if all you had to do was pick the best players - and wait for those who weren't performing to tear up trees in the reserves. You have to manage personalities - clearly Mowbray has done a bad job at that with Chapman (and Brereton).
  9. I can only judge them based on what I've seen of them today - poor side.
  10. Which goes back to my point about this being a shite league - they created two clear cut chances, one of which was when we were going for it and neglecting to defend properly.
  11. Poor loss to a poor Fulham team than. Clock HAS to be ticking on Mowbray's tenure. He's a bad, bad manager and is taking this team absolutely nowhere (and spunking money up the wall whilst doing so).
  12. Our usual formation - he played JRC in the Dack / Holtby role.
  13. Cairney applauding all four stands as he walks off the field. Fuck off.
  14. He's obsessed with playing 3 up top when we absolutely don't have the players for it. We're in a shite Championship, you don't need tactical brilliance to get out of this league.
  15. Why would you take JRC off in this situation? He's done a damn sight more than Gallagher.
  16. I'm a Wigan Warriors fan too - I only go to those games because I don't despise the owner. The manager is terrible and the quality of rugby on display is appalling. I'm in a similar boat with Rovers - except I only go when it's convenient for me these days. The football we play isn't enticing anyone back - that's down to the manager. As much as I hate the owners, they've backed Mowbray with enough money to be playing better football than this.
  17. Soft goal. Undeserved, but typical Mowbray.
  18. Playing Gallagher out wide is an absolute waste of time.
  19. I was going to say - I hate the situation Rovers have found themselves in over the last decade, but the last thing I'd do is bag the Academy. Arguably our three best players are Academy graduates - Travis, Lenihan and Nyambe. The argument about players coming through at 20, proving they're not world beaters, doesn't wash with me because Mowbray is clearly reluctant to play young players. In our current situation, if I was the manager, I'd be playing a hell of a lot of Academy players in the first team. They've not looked much worse than the established starters.
  20. You have to manage different personalities differently - not everyone is a motivated self-starter. Some need an arm round the shoulder, some need a boot up the arse. From the outside looking in, Chapman has been brought in and left to 'prove himself' in the reserves for 6 months, despite our first team screaming out for pace and width. He doesn't even make the bench - some personalities react to that by taking their ball and going home.
  21. A lad that's been horribly mismanaged by Tony.
  22. Brereton is never going to be trusted for a run of games upfront on his own under Mowbray. He's behind Armstrong, Graham and Gallagher. Going out on loan is the best thing for him.
  23. A few weeks out, or a few weeks to set up the scan? 'Cos it took us long enough to diagnose Dack!
