  1. You can't pave a path for Buckley. If he's good enough he'll kick down the door like Travis did.
  2. I still haven't forgiven your club for Barry Ferguson.
  3. I know Newcastle were sniffing around Travis after that Cup game, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone from the PL makes a cheeky offer.
  4. I'd drive him there if Rangers covered my petrol money.
  5. Most of Nyambe's lapses last year were because he was manning the right side like a wing back as he had no support from anyone. He can cover ground with the best of them, but eventually you get caught out positionally when you're doing that much running.
  6. I've never seen a keeper at Rovers with worse distribution.
  7. Surely if he's been told he'll be competing with Leutwiler to start then he's nailed on to be the no1.
  8. You know what's more annoying than posters banging on about other posters' overreacting, hysterical meltdowns?
  9. The overreactions on here are hilarious. Unless I'm mistaken, Charlie Adam hasn't signed a 5 year, £50k a week contract with us. No harm in giving him a run out in the preseason and seeing what he has left in the tank.
  10. His distribution was awful - surely they're not going to ask him to play it out from the back!
  11. Bell improved as the season went on. We need a commanding CB along with a solid GK (who does the basics right, besides just shot stopping).
  12. It's suicidal to go into the season with those two options at GK. I assume Mowbray wants to stay employed so he'll make a move.
  13. At one point Rodwell was PL standard, he isn't anymore. He also can't string 3 games together.
  14. They need to seriously revisit VAR before they unleash it on the wider world. How that White goal was offside is beyond me. Clear and obvious was the remit. That was neither.
  15. I was going to say, Gallagher isn't a target man. He's never played up to his size.
  16. What is it with partners deciding where the professional plays their football? I find that baffling, but I know it happens a lot. That also doesn't surprise me about Hanley, I'd heard he lived on Buckshaw and was a bit of a lad about town.
  17. Genuinely Raya isn't fit to tie Friedel's shoes as a keeper. If they offer a decent fee I think we can replace him without much bother.
  18. Good shot stopper, but terrible on crosses (and commanding his box in general) and he's always got a mistake in him. We can do better - he's an Academy player, which is great, but I think that's clouding judgement a little.
  19. I don't think it's a lack of ambition and drive, it's a lack of talent. We saw it with our Academy for years, it's incredibly difficult to produce Premier League quality youngsters. The standard is just so high. If these players were remotely good enough, their host clubs would play them in their first teams - they'd save an absolute bundle in transfer fees!
  20. Jim, this isn't 2006. We're shit and have been for about 8 years. A very average, past his best, ex-England international would probably be our best player these days.
  21. There's only one winger in that list. The other two are much more effective when played centrally.
  22. I have to mute Murphy whenever he's on the tv. Perhaps my most hated ex-Rover. Just an absolute joke of a professional.
  23. Come off it, Conway isn't fit to lace Downing's boots.
  24. I've no doubt we're still seen as a soft touch by agents. I bet he went to Preston for less than he was asking us to pay him.
  25. There's only one Matt Jansen. By far my favourite Rovers player - and we've been lucky to witness a few great ones in the last 25 years.
