  1. As I said it's mostly an irrational dislike (although he was too slow to be played out left in a 4 and not good enough on the ball to be played centrally) - he'd be our best player by a country mile at the moment.
  2. Very cynical, but City would be playing an absolute blinder by donating some cash to this food bank cause while the situation is sorted out. A 'local' (I hate the Greater Manchester boundary, it's all Lancashire to me) club in trouble. It's just easy PR and they're not short of money. I'm surprised they've not already got involved considering how they've rejuvenated the area around the Etihad Stadium.
  3. I disliked the hype he got - I called him a Match of the Day player. Scored a few crackers every season, which got on tv (when we had our obligatory 20 second highlights at the end of MOTD) and glossed over what a limited player he was.
  4. Just a particular dislike for those two! But let's be honest our team these days is very, very poor in comparison.
  5. It's all relative - he'd walk into our current side, as would anyone from the Premier League years (except Andrews and Pedersen). I can't recall the lyrics, but it was to the tune of La Macarena, obviously.
  6. We had a song about Mokoena and he was definitely shit.
  7. And to be fair he's rarely bought poorly - he's just taken 3/4 of the season to play them consistently!
  8. I can't see how he'll be here next year. A liability at the back and surely one of our top earners. If Mowbray is serious about revamping the squad for a promotion push then Mulgrew has to be one of the casualties.
  9. Especially as he was injured by a two footed challenge by their left winger.
  10. I've seen this comment a few times in relation to the game last night. I'm sorry, but that's nonsense. This was their promotion party (thank you Sky - also can we please never have Keith Andrews on the panel when we're playing?) and they were out for a celebration. Fact of the matter is they tried to blow us away in that first half an hour and then couldn't keep it up for the rest of the game. We weathered the storm. They were playing for time with 30 minutes to go - you don't do that unless you're knackered. We lack quality going forward of they'd have been punished for it.
  11. I hope that new Norwich moneyman is loaded because they need significant investment for next season. That squad will get smashed in the PL - they won't get the rub of the green like the ref gave them tonight for a start!
  12. Norwich are a petulant little team aren't they?
  13. Why? The game lost its soul more than a decade ago.
  14. I don't feel like he's an improvement on Bowyer.
  15. Mulgrew's so valuable from the dead ball, but he can't defend for toffee. Can we not just hide him on the left wing? He's a liability at CB.
  16. Just seen the goals. LOL at people blaming Bell for the first - yes he loses the ball, but it's one striker against two centrebacks and a keeper. What the heck were those three doing?!
  17. Massively disagree. Didn't touch the player or the ball. The Boro player went over looking for a foul. If you're arguing that's a foul then you're officiating the game like it's a Premier League game. With all those fouls that have gone uncalled, that would have been called in a Premier League game (basically any time someone goes to ground), you can't suddenly change your officiating standards. This ref, quite frankly, is awful. So are we to be fair.
  18. He's a bad, bad ref. Never a foul.
  19. I really want to like Brereton, but his first touch is shocking.
  20. This ref is terrible - that Boro player just raked his studs down Bennett's calf and he waved for advantage. Fair, but that's a bloody booking.
  21. Pulis hasn't done anything magical tactically, he's just got a squad playing coherently. It's not rocket science.
  22. Of all the players to focus on after this performance...
  23. Should have sold him when West Brom offered at the end of the summer transfer window.
