  1. The attendances are a joke right now, we need those 3k or so floating fans back. I can't believe they've gone to Bolton, European football or not they play some absolute sh!te week in and week out, whereas Hughes is molding the Mighty Rovers into a quality team. Sometimes I just think we don't deserve Premiership football.
  2. The same young Rio Ferdinand who passed it back to James chest high, allowing super Flitty to pounce on the inevitable rebound?
  3. Now that's dedication! I've only got to do a two hour journey today, well an hour and a half if I break the law
  4. This thread has made it pretty clear what those words would be . I'm against the drummer personally, but to be fair to the lad(s) they can get a chant going now and again. Mindless or not, at least everyone can get involved - I've been to a few away games where I didn't have a Scooby what the song was......but that's a different story I suppose, and links back to the fact that beyond a few songs our crowd is very repetitive at home (so I've just shot down my own argument then - good going ER ). It definately should be at the top of BRISA's list of things to do.
  5. Shocking isn't it! Hopefully that UEFA/FA ruling will come through about a certain percentage of your squad/starting 11 having to be from the country you play in.
  6. That pic should come with a warning!
  7. Well it was said tongue in cheek in reply to your suggestion that all Liverpool need is a brand new attack
  8. I'd say we're one world class winger and striker away from challenging for the top two places
  9. Anyone else notice the excellent editing of Lawro's comments on MOTD?
  10. The Wrexham fans are understandably delighted from what I've read, though calls to sign him up are a little premature
  11. It was pleased to see Cisse go and sit with Smith after all the United players on the pitch turned away in disgust. He's been through it obviously, so that would have helped Smith I'm sure. Either way his compassion for a fellow professional was heartwarming. It's a shockingly bad injury that I called the first time I saw it (just happened to walk into the room when it happened - I've no idea what Lawro was talking about). It's a genuine career threatening and, whatever your opinion of Smith maybe, nobody deserves such a horrific injury. It's only a game after all. I wish him all the best
  12. Then he gets sacked an awful lot, using your analogy
  13. He's a confident lad isn't he!
  14. In fairness to the lad he's not even had a sniff this season. Granted he's a DM specialist, but he's exceptional in the role. There have been times this season where I've been begging Hughes to shut up shop and put the Axe in front of the back four. He's failed to do it and I can understand his frustration.
  15. Hughes seems to like him, and he only has to be a decent squad player to stick around under Williams' new plan. This loan move is purely for experience, or our academy truely does blow.
  16. Because the new manager didn't take a fancy to him? Football's about a lot more than just talent, internal politics has a lot to do with it too. Derbyshire was a new bloke the old manager had brought in and the new gaffer either didn't like his style of play, or wanted to make a statement. He scored a hattrick on his debut for Plymouth reserves, and a brace on his debut for Wrexham - there's little more the lad can do to make a good first impression.
  17. A Shearer testimonial in his final season? Yeah, 2,000 would be beyond us
  18. Well he's not getting a game here, so I suppose Hughes will consider it if they agree to pay a good proportion of his wages and allow a clause for his return if we need him.
  19. The journo who came up with that must be a legend in media circles
  20. Kuqi knows, he just struggles to put it there very often. He has scored 6 times this season though, unless I'm mistaken.
  21. Exactly, playing it against Celtic makes it a nothing game.
  22. Whatever your opinions on the recent game, or the season as a whole, one thing is certain - Fortress Ewood is back!
  23. Hopefully this new contract results in a pay cut, he must be on a few bob under the circumstances he signed for us. I'm behind this move, assuming he's eventually going to be phased out as a squad player by an academy player/new signing.
  24. Todd's 5'10" at best. Nelsen looks over 6', but it's hard to tell without physically standing next to him. Both are physically well build players, however, so that excuse by Mr Keeley doesn't wash with me. They're not going to be knocked off the ball by Campbell or Beattie, but what they failed to do was time their jumps and display basic communication skills between themselves and Friedel (the West Brom goal especially highlights this, though the entire Everton game is a pretty good example of how not to defend).
