  1. We need 6 points from Cardiff and Derby without question.
  2. He ran from behind their #19 (across his face). You clearly must have eyes like a hawk to rule that offside in real time.
  3. You can't really high press a team with THAT much pace in their front 3. Get it wrong at any point and they're streaming towards your goal in numbers.
  4. I'm obviously not an ex-professional referee, but I'm never sending a player off for Dennis' first tackle and, if anything, I'm having a word with Chrisene for trying to get a fellow professional sent off for the second challenge. I'm yet to see a replay of the Ohashi foul - obviously all of the scuff marks on the pitch are in the box, but I don't know where the initial foul was made.
  5. They've spent A LOT of money (which they've earned through player sales) - it's why Robbins was sacked. He's an excellent manager at this level, but with the squad they've assembled they should have been pushing for the automatics. They've won 8 out of 9 though so I'm sure they're getting plenty of favourable calls.
  6. Hyam prefers being the junior partner - he never takes command.
  7. I just wouldn't play Dolan, he offers so very little. Not sure how it was a stupid sending off for Dennis - he had every right to go for that ball, it's a 50/50. The ref was clearly gagging to send him off as I'm sure the 4th official had been in his ear that the earlier tackle was a red (it wasn't). I'd love to see the Ohashi foul again - looked like a clear penalty and a yellow card to me (he'd got past both of them - it was a goal scoring opportunity).
  8. Hyam was lucky but there was no malice in it - he was leaning in to stop the GK from taking it quickly and Gunn tried to con everyone. I'm glad we were too poor to buy Chrisene in the summer - what a non-entity of a player he is.
  9. I don't really blame Cantwell for the poor corners / free kicks - he's stepping up because nobody else is. Brittain blasted one into the Blackburn End for some reason and Ribeiro barely beat the first man. We're crying out for a dedicated set piece taker - it's easily worth an extra 5 goals a season.
  10. Same, not sure where all the negativity is coming from. Forshaw has been tidy, but obviously nowhere near as good as Tronstad. Dolan having one on his nine in ten games. They're a very, very fast team that's simply trying to draw us in and hit us over the top (or by using that flick pass down the centre). They're very hard to play against.
  11. I'm not interested in consuming the fluff pieces from this club ever again after that disgraceful statement they released regarding Eustace.
  12. It's funny how opinions differ, isn't it? In my eyes he's still clearly running his socks off. He looks like he's been carrying a calf injury for a while and obviously we've all lamented about the quality of players around him.
  13. "Val, perform unsustainable miracles and you've got a £600k a year job for life". Our Academy is good, but it rarely produces a Wharton - and anyone since him that's been thought of as a PL talent has been stolen from the crib (Finneran, Phillips). That'll be the pattern from here on out.
  14. I'm not surprised Beck broke down. Good job we got the Portuguese lad in.
  15. Most of the fans have drifted away - you just have to look at a match day at Ewood Park.
  16. And then quickly snaffled up for a nominal fee by a Premier League Academy.
  17. I think he's a really, really good player, but he's a firefighter (and an excellent one) who should sit in midfield. For some reason everyone is convinced that he's a world class box-to-box midfielder and he just doesn't have it in his locker - as the above clip highlights. £100m for him was insane too.
  18. We did all that, and more. It fell on deaf ears or we were lambasted by the football community for being ungrateful (and racist, if I recall). It's difficult to influence your owners when they're insulated from the fans by thousands of miles and millions of pounds. If our losses were truly hurting their bottom line they'd have wound us up or sold us by now. The Reading owner clearly wants rid and doesn't need the hassle. A massive difference.
  19. Just get the Blackburn End to get a chant going: "Worst owners in football, you'll never sing that!"
  20. I think it was more just players being genuinely poor. Dolan having one of his 9 in 10 games, Hedges being completely finished at this level, Weimann demonstrating that his legs have gone and Pears being awful. We had chances in that game, but it was done at half time through individual errors.
