  1. i.e. he's an unsackable cockroach.
  2. He's welcomed the approach, yes. I'm sure he's had feelers out for a while - he was simply not backed in January and he can see the writing on the wall in the summer. I'm sure any manager would do the same after working under Steve and Suhail for any period of time. Even today, he told them what it'd take to retain his services - absolute basic necessities and they've released that bitter, pathetic hit piece of a club statement in response. I would love a transcript from that meeting, I bet it was scathing. You can see what's coming. Go and read some of Nixon's tweets (their chief propogandist) - he talks about how we're still top 6 and it's a huge 15 games coming up etc in response to people questioning the long term future of the club. The fact of the matter is there isn't a long term future for this club - contracts are being run down, 5 of the 6 January transfers have been brought in on a 6 month contract and multiple players are out of contract in the summer. Eustace has lived this day to day. He's not asked for the world and they will not (or more likely cannot) provide him with anything so he's done the honest thing and left with his head held high and his reputation intact. TLDR: he's left for a smaller, poorer club in a desperate relegation dogfight - that tells you everything you need to know.
  3. He gave them every opportunity to provide him with assurances - they refused to. It's painfully obvious he didn't want to go to Derby.
  4. To be fair it's our own fault. We should have bought his talentless daughter's shit handbags. That man can hold a grudge.
  5. No, that'll just be a passionate captain's response to his Head Coach seemingly abandoning him. When he calms down and his head clears he'll fully understand what Eustace has done and apologise I have no doubt. If Derby stay up I wouldn't be shocked if they come in for Travis in the summer.
  6. A master stroke? It reads like it was written by a jilted 15 year old.
  7. If you see a train coming down the tracks do you stand there and take the hit or step out of the way? He's done everything in his power on the pitch and off it. I do not blame him for leaving. Similar to JDT - DESPITE the utter incompetence at Board level, the manager just needed a small transfer budget to get us into the playoffs. Instead they've refused to back him AT ALL and released that utterly pathetic statement, laying the blame clearly at his door.
  8. We're only three days away from you blaming Eustace. Sooner if they've got another manager lined up. You can set your clock by it.
  9. If you want to get into the top 6 you back the manager that has you sat there in February.
  10. Genuinely just snapped my season ticket in half after reading that statement. They can get fucked.
  11. Seems to me like they couldn't give him assurances because we're living month to month. We'll go under soon I have no doubt. There is no money at the club - everything points to that.
  12. He asked for basic things - an assurance about his future (an extended contract), the future of his players (many have less than 18 months left on their deals) and the reinvestment of transfer funds into the squad. That's far more than 'shit hits the fan'. You cannot run a football club like that. Hell you couldn't run a sandwich shop like that.
  13. I expected nothing less. I bet it was a sit down with the two clowns too and he never got to speak to the owners.
  14. Eustace doesn't look great - but on the flip side he's been given zero assurances, basically zero backing (and certainly a month too late) and he's looked ahead to the summer and seen that he only has 13 senior players tied down to contracts and many of those only have 12 months left. You can't manage and build a team like that.
  15. Fuck off, Nixon. He really does hate us.
  16. He won't do it because he's too professional - but assuming because they've activated his release clause he doesn't have to sign an NDA, I'd love him to talk openly about the shite Board and 'O'wners at Ewood.
  17. Considering he put on record at the end he'd happily take £500k for the manager (the most important man at any club, and one that he said earlier in the piece had exceeded expectations) - it's no wonder he failed at Palace.
  18. Every single fan base would die under this amount of crushing despair. I'd get new friends if I was you if they're using that against you.
  19. So a Premier League CB (who they paid £12m for by the way) 'sussed' Kargbo out after a few runs? Was that before or after he gave away a penalty? Obviously it was before he was subbed off at half time. Kargbo won't be playing against £12m players every week - and I remain baffled that people never learn about their snap judgements on players. Tronstad was deemed as awful after his first few games. Brereton-Diaz a write off after 2 years.
  20. But he knew Eustace's win percentage...
  21. Alex Crook comes across well in that segment.
  22. Jordan talking shite, as per. He talks like this is a functional football club - as Alex Crook pointed out this is our third manager in just over three years that has walked out the door. We have 13 senior players under contract when the summer transfer window opens. We've banked over £30m and spent less than £2.5m. Also why's he dressed like Brains from Thunderbirds?
