  1. Kargbo must have sat in the stands on Friday and be sat on the bench today thinking "fuck me, I'll start every week."
  2. World class save by their GK from a Dolan shot and an incredible block from Gueye's shot has kept this level.
  3. Watching the Preston game back in full - Hedges is just woeful. You have to start Kargbo if he's fit.
  4. In the Woodley "backup CF" role we'd be disappointed. In the "leading CF signing of this window" role yeah we'd be very annoyed.
  5. It's looking more and more like Rodri won them the league. 😉
  6. You'd have to think Sigurdsson or Pickering, right? Bet Forshaw has travelled with them to London.
  7. Dennis has been left in the cold by a team competing for the Champions League spots. Armstrong has been left in the cold by a team flirting with a record low points tally in the Premier League.
  8. I'm comparing a higher level of football to indicate one player is more talented than the other - isn't that relevant?
  9. Honestly I think it's just that there's literally no money being released into the club. Gestede is wildly underqualified for the role, but even someone like Broughton (who was a good DoF in my opinion) was repeatedly made to look like a fool by the owners and their men on the ground who nixed deals behind his back and withdrew funds. You can't operate like that.
  10. Diallo got Sunderland into the Playoffs.
  11. And yet that's the only time he looked like a good player...
  12. Armstrong has 6 PL goals (in 88 appearances). Dennis has 12 PL goals (in 52 appearances).
  13. Thankfully WBA have a crap manager.
  14. I suspect both - and also played as a defensive winger himself. That's essentially what Hedges is anyway.
  15. Dennis is a better player than Armstrong. Kargbo destroyed Serie C, he's been ok in Serie B.
  16. Technically he asked for 3 players that would come in and raise the standards - players that the rest of the squad would appreciate as being quality additions.
  17. The league was this poor a couple of years ago - it goes in cycles based on the quality of the parachute payment clubs. Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton all got BATTERED in the Premier League last year.
  18. I think Kargbo and Dennis walk straight into the first team. Ribeiro provides much needed depth at LB and Sanderson is a useful option at CB / RB. No idea about Woodley, assume he's been brought in so we can take Gueye off when he's on a yellow and lost his head / it's 70 minutes and he's run out of steam.
  19. I think it's too little, too late. There's absolutely no reason why all of these signings couldn't have been done on Jan 1. We've barely paid a fee - we've simply picked up unwanted players (Sanderson, Forshaw, Ribeiro, Woodrow and Dennis). Kargbo is the only one who was regularly playing for his side. If we'd have picked up points against Oxford / Bristol City et al I'd feel much better about this window. As it is I think Boro have locked up that 5th Playoff spot with their deals this January and Sheffield United, Leeds, Sunderland and Burnley have built up too big a gap to catch them - so everyone else is playing for 6th. Still, at least we've finally signed some pace, eh?
  20. Just realised two of Sunderland's goals today were own goals by new Boro signings. LOL
  21. Loans are not cheap - especially PL loans.
  22. I thought they were skint?! To be fair they've lost their very, very good GK to Ipswich so that offsets any attacking talent they bring in.
  23. To be fair to the lad he's had so many clubs he must get confused about which side he's playing for on any given match day. He went with his instincts and rifled one into the net.
  24. I like my wingers to have the ability to run past somebody. Sigurdsson is painfully slow.
