Was his passing and running with the ball was anymore adventurous for the U-21? His passing was very sideways; don’t know if was due to not having a pass on or just trying to keep it simple, but it was a contributing factor to why we were penned in our own half. S Warton provides a good outlet with his passing, we definitely missed that against Reading.

Ben’s turn in form is mainly down to confidence, a move to a premier league club and a bad start and it could all go Pete Tongue. I don’t think he’ll be pushing for a move, but I don’t think we could offer him a contract that he’d sign. I don’t want to sell, as I think we’ll be battle at the wrong end of the table if he leaves. We’d need two Bowlers to replace Ben. We’d have to spend every penny of the transfer money and even then I don’t think it’d be worth it. If he’d scored his recent goals for Norwich or Watford they’d be on Sky Sports news every five minutes. £30 million price tag for me and maybe a defender coming the other way on top. At the rate he’s improving he could be up there with our best.
