Too early to tell, would have been nice for Boro to put more crosses in to see how he handled them. However, one thing I did notice; he made a save late the second half and he palmed it out well away from goal, well away from the danger, which is something Pears fails to do very often. So far certainly looks at least a better backup than Leo was.

I think he can if we play to his strengths i.e. winger needed. His all round play was nice and tidy today, can’t fault him at all.
