Definitely. How many times in the past have we played well and got nothing from a match. Ugly wins are good wins. It’s almost like we’ve gone back to basics, being hard to beat and being able to win games with a flash of good play. We haven’t been able to do this since Sparky was manager and Nelson was captain. We don’t want to start being pushy with Ben and his international desires. The magical Chilean Diaz spice added to the fire in his belly cannot be understated;It’s like a catalyst. I’m pretty sure he draws some magical powers from South America when he goes there. We will lose him for a few matches, but he will come back stronger, fully powered up and ready for the final push. His fans in Chile think he’s the best player in our league, when he embraces this the witchcraft happens. He loves this crazy fairytale like we all do. We need his army of followers to jump on the Rovers going up train! Venky’s should be making this story into a Bollywood movie, if we get promoted I can definitely see Netflix and Co. Wanting to make a series out of Ben. Would be better than Dream Team.

Even before he turned Chilean, Ben othered something, an outlet if nothing else. Playing Gally is like playing with ten men most of the time. So many times attacks and especially counter attacks break down as soon as he gets the ball.

GET IN!!!! I’m not sure I’ve missed the last ten minutes nerves in the previous 5 games, but damn does it feel good at 90 minutes. Ben Brereton lost his Chilean passport late on and was minus the Diaz…. We nearly Mobrayed it with the Gally Sub, we should stick with what’s got us here, even if the game has gone a little flat. In our system, if only takes Khadra a moment to do something to create a chance. If fact he did just before the substiton, but I think Golden Bollocks Gally had already been told he’d play. Though, I loved the way he KO’d their goalie 😂 We could have saved ourselves all the nerves if we’d put away a few more of the chances first half, their goal was scruffy, but we got through it. Lenihan the last five mins! I think he heard he’d got another watch and won those headers with every bit of his body and soul. I love this set of players! Massive credit to the manager, but he has me anxious, like a Grandparent that is in good health, but you worry she is going to fleeced by a gypsy cold calling with sponges and tea towels for hundreds of pounds. He needs a good assistant, to chill him out and give him a brew and some cake(lemon drizzle?). ☺️

Not been following the chat, but bringing Gallagher on has made it easier for Barnsley, he’s no threat out wide with the way we play as Khadra is. Plus we’re less effective going forward. Even if Khada isn’t playing as well as he can, he still makes the opposition cautious. Should have been Dolan for Khadra. Can’t understand the tactics of bringing Gallagher on?
