Hughes has to be stopped from getting to referee, where have we seem that before? Maybe it's NOT Souness they hate but Rovers? Maybe the refs are bitter like the stupid "journalists"? Do all the little free kickdecisions seem to be going against us or is it my bias?! Oh and I've never known our midfield so poor at heading a ball before, every easy header they have seems to be going towards the opposition. Flitty is trying but, Id rather have tugay on, we are lacking anything creative. At least we have him and MGP on the bench for when we go one nil down to a corner/free kick in the second half

Hodgson got us into europe. It just fell away after that hope you are not defending him, he took over a team with players like Flowers, Hendry, Sherwood, Sutton, Gallacher, Ripley, Duff and bought players like Valery, Davidson, Dailly, Peacock, Blake, Davies, Pedersen. Buying and selling is the most important part of being and manager, and Hughes has no experience, hopefully he will do really good, but we will just be a stepping stone anyway Pedersen was a Tony Parkes signing, but you're right he did make some shocking signing! That will be one of the big tests for Hughes; the transer market. Being an international manager means they concentrate on the players they have, not ones they want. Though saying they international managers have to scout up and coming talent also. I am hoping he will help Jansen to maybe regain confidence and start to play like he used and still can. Also if players like Emerton can get some confidence it will be excellent. If only we'd kept Grabbi, Hguhes could have taught him how to shoot!

Agree with what you're saying there but the one thing that worries me more than anything in the squad of players we have is the total lack of pace. Even a team like Norwich can threaten with the 'out ball' to Huckerby, similarly Pompey-Yakubu, Palace-Johnson but we don't have that in our locker. Most teams in the Prem have that bit of pace about them, especially up front. Nothing we can do about it now mind you, cheers Souey. Isn't Jay Bothroyd supposed to be quick ? Yeah we're led to believe he is. Then again we'd all enjoy watching the world class DePedro, Andresen was an exciting talent and Grabbi had a great eye for goal. I'll believe it when I see it. Lets hope the new manager has better scouts! Did we ever find out who told Souness that Grabbi was a Centre forward who was worth all that money?

Stressfull times Not really sure who I would like as manager as none of the listed favourites are 100% certain to do a great job. They are all either unproven/relatively unproven or proven with a dodgy track record at other clubs. Well I guess it's completely out of our hands and we will just have to sit back and pray it's not Houllier or Hoddle, I could just about cope with anyone else. Thinking back though, when we appointed Souness, was everyone on here happy or were they apprehensive? We need to bare that in mind, no matter who we get it can still go pear shaped or go really well! I remember getting Woy and Kidd and being happy and look what happened there!(Well Woy looked to be doing a great job until injuries and "player power" got him sacked).
