  1. Has anybody said that? I've seen people say we have downgraded from Brittain, but nobody who has actually said he's shite.
  2. We are waiting for Ronaldinho to sign on a pay as you play first, but Beckham has signed. Possibly, anyway, he has been photographed in a Rovers shirt but nobody is sure if we pressed send. Don't worry though, we have a 1 billion quid warchest waiting for us if we can just get approval from the court toda- ah they've adjourned. Something fucking like that anyway.
  3. You can pipe up in proceedings? Now that seems like something we could exploit...50 fans all coordinated sort of thing, that would have to garner some attention.
  4. I'll be disappointed if we do. Vile song, that frog was annoying as hell! Plus the original song is great and would serve the same purpose.
  5. https://arsenalnews.co.uk/2025/08/05/arsenal-have-had-second-bid-rejected-for-blackburn-rovers-striker-igor-tyjon/ Dunno if already mentioned, but Arsenal still sniffing around Tyjon, second bid rebuffed. I'd imagine they've had encouragement from Tyjon's side to still be trying.
  6. I think he was just joking that Amaruso was in the same category
  7. If we are talking time at other clubs it would be Dahlin, surely?
  8. It sounds like Miller can cover ground quickly, yes. But it also sounds like he has nowhere near the attacking ability of Brittain. So we may well get up there with him, but if it leads nowhere there isn't much point. Hopefully he's better at putting a cross in that it sounds like.
  9. Certain posters won't listen though. Apparently everyone is pulling in the same direction here.
  10. They're not. In his last 2 Championship seasons with us, Gallagher scored 11 in 58 appearances. A goal every 5.27 games. The stats you just gave are a goal every 5.07 games for McBurnie. If you take Gally's actual last 2 Championship seasons, so that's his one with Stoke and his last with us, he scored 6 in 46, or a goal every 7.66 games.
  11. It did cross my mind. It truly would be amateur hour again if they ballsed it up on not understanding this, it probably only takes a phone call to the relevant body to know. Then again this is the club that pressed save instead of send.
  12. Yeh I thought there was something along those lines. I think we'd already know by now if he didn't count either way (GBE or through a British work permit in Scotland) as it would be holding up Henriksson.
  13. I may be misremembering, but isn't there a bit of a back door with players in Scotland? I had it in my head they would automatically qualify here after they've been there a certain time.
  14. He has barely made the u21s at times. Terrible signing.
  15. Shows up your lack of understanding about fitness and conditioning then.
  16. It's almost as if there are 10 other players in a team, who vary in their availability and form, and different sets of opponents. By this sort of logic, Gally was a good player for us. Stats like this got used to show his alleged value to the team before. I like stats but they don't paint the whole picture.
  17. Gotta admit, you've completely lost me there
  18. I think it's both. There is a very, very clear profile of player being targeted - athletic, tall, and fairly young. I think our crappy budget has necessitated expensive players leaving, and little money to spend on replacements, but Ismael has clearly said he wants a certain type of player.
  19. Haha nice. Until we see him in a Rovers shirt, he both is and isn't a Rovers player. Even Schrodinger would have struggled to explain the third option of 'even then he might not be'.
  20. NEC really impressed me tbf. I expected them to be about as good as a bottom half Championship side, but they moved the ball really really well. I have a bit more respect for the Eredivisie outside of your PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord types now.
  21. I'm getting confused about Miller. I keep hearing and seeing different things. The only highlights reel I saw showed him to be pretty handy going forward, especially dribbling, but didn't really show defensive stuff. Then all the noise from the Hibs side was that he wasn't a very good RB as he wasn't good going forward, but was ace when moved into CB. Now what you're saying more lines up with my initial impressions. The only consistency seems to be he is big, strong and athletic.
  22. I actually have more reservations about him having crohn's than I did about Baradji's alleged foot fracture. It's not something that is likely to go away, whereas I don't know a lot of players with repeatedly recurring fractures. I also think I preferred Baradji's reel, though that's obviously not the be all and end all. RF99 raises a very good point, with all these tall lads we need some set piece delivery quality. Miller sorts out long throws but we don't have much in the way of corner or free kick delivery going on. Though tbh we have signed numerous players over the years who were meant to be good at set pieces and didn't put much quality in. I seem to remember Pickering being touted as one. Wasn't Cantwell meant to be? Maybe we were all just spoilt by Mulgrew in our expectations.
