Tracking our (outbound) loan players 24/25

That's good for him for sure. Though you have to assume, at 20 years old and on loan at Marine in the National League North, he won't be making it at Blackburn Rovers. Sounds like he will be able to get his career going at that level or slightly higher when we release him though. -

Has to be a club record, probably by some distance. -

Kinda feels like there's no point selling people these days. -
Was he? His best ever Championship season was a small sample 5 goals in 17 games for PNE. Apart from that, his best season was the one before he joined us, where he got 9 in 40 for Doncaster in this league. So unless he got his knees knackered pretty much right at the end of that season, the suggestion he was finished makes no sense, he was basically at his peak. All his other seasons in this league, he never scored more than 6, which he did twice, in 30 games and in 43 games. Those are 1 in 5 and less than 1 in 7.16 ratios respectively. For a striker. And those were some of his best ever seasons. He spent most of his career in the Championship, and scored 5 or more goals in just 5 seasons. All the others he scored 3 or less. So I think the claim he was a competent Championship striker is also generous. If he played up top here with those numbers, we'd have said he was shit, get rid.

And it only raised a bit more, partly offset by loss of ticket revenue, and the extra money will quite quickly get sucked up by player wages and agent fees. It's a plaster. Football finances need surgery. It also inconveniences many fans quite a lot despite your protestations, and sets a precedent that we may never escape from, which could lead to many more half empty stadiums, killing the live spectacle of football. If they're going to televise so many games they might as well get rid of the 3pm blackout rules. -

I'm highly confident we have conceded more goals from doing this than we have scored. -
Won 5-2. Late goal from rising star Harvey Higgins off the bench. New boy Silver Eze bagged an own goal.

That sub looks even worse now. Braindead from JRC. Good save on the penalty but why does he have to palm that into the danger area? Always away. -

Can't fathom that sub. I know we see Weimann as a 60 minute player but he's the only reason we're winning and has scored 2. Don't take off someone who is having a clinical game unless they're blowing out their arse. -

And should've made it 3 just there. No idea why he thought he wasn't offside, he was offside for quite a while. Slight correction and he'd have had an even easier time with that rebound and it would've counted. -

I think you can 'carry' (I'd call it 'afford') a bit more than that, but fundamentally I agree. If you want top 6 I suppose those numbers are more accurate though. Think we could potentially get away with the current lot and be top 6 if we just had 2 more players of true quality. Gimme Johansson from Stoke and a Sammie Szmodics of last season and I'd say top 6 is doable with the right manager and system. A couple of true match winners. The squad players you mention are capable of being proper regular starters...in spurts. None of them has demonstrated enough consistency and probably never will, to fit in with as you say, Beck, Tronstad, Cantwell and Carter. Personally I think Travis isn't too far off that list, but he does have little patches of being shit. But yeh when the others are in form they're good enough, it just isn't often enough. And you could say it about most players in this division who aren't regulars in the best 8 or so teams. -

This one is the most depressing, but looking at it impartially for a moment, the main difference by far has been Stoke's keeper. As I said before, utterly different scoreline if we swapped goalies, we'd have ran riot. (Not that Pears has even had a stinker) -

That lad was far more responsible for his handling of the ball there than our lad was against Watford. Had far more time to react. -

So Stoke have tripled their away goals tally for the season at 'fortress Ewood' (as the advertising boards have been calling it). I don't think we're too many games from calls for Eustace's head at this rate. -

If we swapped keepers we would have won this game about 4-0. -

Jesus christ Gueye. I think that settles the question of whether he is good in the air and just lacking crosses. Are we scoring before Christmas? -

I can't imagine thinking that Travis is more mediocre for us than Lowe, Murphy, Etuhu, Akpan, Brown, Vale, etc. I assume you're not serious. -

You have to remember our current gauge for this is Pears. If Pears had made these saves it genuinely would be the game of his life. Probably just another game for Johansson. -

Another bizarre comment from our co commentator. Ohashi should have ran onto that and volleyed it apparently. Didn't realise Ohashi had a foot in his chest.
