Pears/ Kaminski.. summer plans?
bluebruce replied to NeilInBristol's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I think a few of Pears' performances have been outstanding. But it's interesting to note that our results when TK was playing, and when Pears was playing, are night and day. Even though we have looked a better footballing side, results have been much worse overall with Pears. There are 10 other players in our team, but that does suggest it may be connected. -
Bizarre. If it's only one leg, it should be at a neutral venue, ideally somewhere roughly in the middle of the two clubs.

That's about 70 years ago, and their entire trophy cabinet reads: One League Cup, One EFL Trophy Wow. Tinpot. Their next greatest claims are runner up in the FA Cup once, and runner up in the Full Members Cup once. 16 seasons in the top flight in total I believe. Oooooh, big boys. We have 18 seasons there just since it became the Prem. All that said, nobody should be saying they don't deserve to be up there. If they get up there then, unless it involves some chicanery, they deserve to be there and it's as simple as that. We won't deserve it over them, because we have simply made too many wrong decisions as a club and they've gone about their business better. People try to apply similar logic to us, saying our fanbase is too small to deserve a Prem spot, and it's just as much bullshit then too. Heck this is Luton's second consecutive year in the playoffs. You don't get out of this league because you have a right to, you get out of it because you earn it. -

Almost nothing to do with the manager now. 'Ask Gregg'. -

Harsh. Just because he's a footballer doesn't mean he can't handle basic arithmetic. -

No, we can't and we shouldn't. -

Their tickets appear to be cheaper than ours (listen and learn Waggott). They'll have more season ticket income than us for sure but I hardly think that's enough to make them big hitters financially in this league. Ticket income isn't enough to make a huge difference at this level unless you're selling epic numbers at a fairly high price, like only a few teams here do. I think spending big relative to how they've been spending in League One, and spending big relative to this league, are two different things. Arma is likely to require the latter. -

The irony and problem is, whilst we may well look like we've made huge advances on the pitch as we look more cohesive and like we can cause problems, we've actually regressed hugely in terms of the results since Christmas. I worry this may indicate JDT's chosen style doesn't actually work for us. Although it may indeed be primarily down to the lack of appropriate personnel in the box. Same personnel we had when we were 2nd in the league though. -

Because he has shown he can score a bucket load at this level. His failing at a higher level will no longer really matter. Unless it's destroyed his confidence. I'd be shocked if Ipswich can afford him. -

Sadly it's almost the only thing he does, shooting almost constantly. I'd prefer a happy medium between that and our current approach. -

Why wouldn't someone be sacked for a mistake of such magnitude? -

Nah, you won't. I'll start - Steve Waggott is an absolute charlatan, stealing a living from this great club, with the business acumen of a dead slug. He's a conman, utterly inept at his job. Nothing to be afraid of. -

Twice in a decade chance, surely. We did basically the same thing last season. -

I have to say, once we signed Sammie Szmodics and Dom Hyam, I entirely expected Sammie Szmodics and Dom Hyam. -

You keep dragging this up, but there's a large difference between exciting and effective. When Dolan is in form, he is both. He has sadly been out of form for a while now. Being out of position hasn't helped that. -

That first one is the biggest sign it won't happen. PNE have nothing of their own to play for beyond pride, and they've absolutely no inclination to do us a favour. Sunderland to make the playoffs under smug cunt Tony Mowbray, due to us beating Millwall...how Blackburn Rovers would that be? I'd almost rather lose to Millwall and keep Sunderland out of the playoffs than that scenario. -

Has just lost his drive. Could still turn into a decent signing on a free for someone. But the other thing is he's a confidence player, and he may have lost a lot of that again after being wank for us for a while now. Offering nothing at the moment, should be dropped to the bench. -

I think that's about an accurate percentage. Maybe even a little generous. I'd put as about 20% likely, at best, to beat Millwall, and then we're relying on, is it two other games? -

Yeh part of me was thinking when we were losing, at least it's over now. But the torture continues. I suppose it's better for the pride to keep in it til the last day, but it's much worse for the ticker! -

Not sure why the ref hasn't booked Brereton for that silly bit of wrestling
