Excellent result, pleased for Mowbray, love the style we are playing. Wont happen every week, struggle to break down teams who park the bus, like some top premier teams do, glad Brereton has come good, Holtby on fire and a very astute loan with Elliot. With Dack, Travis and Rothwell to come into the squad it could be our best chance to get in the top 6. -

Coventry manager saying they are down to bare bones with injuries and one isolated, says waiting for coved tests coming back from yesterday, think he would like it to be postponed reading between the lines.https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/coventry-city-blackburn-rovers-19152401 -

No, I didn’t say “give him till Christmas” I said see where we are at Christmas, but you and others want him out every time we have bad result. I personally think he’s a decent manager, bought well in this window in a difficult time, unlucky we have a few injuries and unavailability of players, the time to judge is 15 or so games, and give the new signings to bed in. Think 90% on here were happy with his transfer dealings, and a reasonable start, just wait till we get the main players back and see where we are....
-
Think only Bennett injured in international weeks, who wouldn’t have started anyway, couple with Coved, Holtby on paternity leave, Travis long term, Dack back shortly along with JRC, rest back playing, not sure it’s fair blaming medical folk, and a bit last minute to put 3 new signings in, need to get used to system etc. This time time last season think Charlton were second in league after 5 games, let’s see where we are 10/15 games in.
-
Excellent point, you would probably say 6 or 7 of those if fit would be in the match day squad and at least 5 in the starting line up, Early doors, let’s see where we are at Christmas.
-
And who did you expect?
-
TM has already said he has a decent squad but light on numbers, he’s rectified that, there will be injuries, squad numbers about right, with probably a couple going out on loan, as well as Charlie going to Fleetwood. Very decent window, with a mixture of permanent, loans, experienced and young ‘uns.. Only slight disappointment is that Josh King didn’t go anywhere..
-
No one can guarantee game time, but some clubs want a fee if the player doesn’t play a set number of games, very good loan signing.
-
Plus Elliott ?
-
Don't forget Dack, he does score goals, not the pace of Armstrong but quality...
-
Yeah agree, definitely reasons to be hopefull, feeling Brennan from u23s could be the next one to break through, impressed every time I’ve seen him. If we sign both of these tomorrow, you have to say a decent window without having too much dosh to throw around.
-
That’s what we want to hear.
-
Oh dear, think you might be in the 1% on here, thinking as you do.
-
? German/ Herman who knows?
-
German should be.
-
Just seen that, Herman midfielder
-
Let’s hope you’re typing King scored a hat trick tonight, push the price up?
-
Don’t remember Kaminsky,Ayala, and Douglas being here 4 years ago !!!
-
Signed what seems a decent goalie for a fee, and also signed a young keeper with potential, signed a very capable and experienced centre back, after losing out on Kipre, which we would have paid near on a million, had the foresight to nip in for Dolan, and if we can loan Douglas or someone equally decent, I would think that’s not a bad window, anyone else a bonus.

Waggy was quality, but always seemed to play better at home, Eamon Rogers another talented footballer but had a few issues.
-
Amazing how you and the rest know there’s nothing going on regarding a new contract, love to know where you get the info.
